"Perry White is the editor in chief, our boss. Him you want to be nice to." Clark said pointing at a dark skinned, slightly on the bigger size man that was in the biggest office that had glass walls. The man was sitting behind his desk yelling to the phone. He had dark short hair with a little grey on it and a tooth gap.

"That's Jimmy Olsen he is out photographer, Ron Troupe is a reporter like me, Steve Lombard takes care of the sports section, Cat Grant has gossip and Max Mencken is a society or theatrical columnist." Clark said and nodded towards these people with a quiet voice as we dodged them to stay out of their way.

"Okay." I nodded trying to memorize their faces and names.

Clark walked to a desk that was filled with piles of paper. It was in the corner of the office and almost separate from all the others. That's probably the reason it felt more private. "I requested for you to have your own desk but I think it hasn't arrived yet. I'll go ask mr White. You can sit down." Clark said and hurried (dodging people and desks once again) to mr White's office.

I sat down on his chair and noticed how uncomfortable it was. Now that I noticed: Clark's chair wasn't as new as the others. Was he so shy that he couldn't fit in? The others didn't even seem to notice him.

I saw Clark and mr White talk for a while before Clark exited the office. He walked to me and said: "Apparently they don't have a desk for you and we are going to have to share. I'm sorry Fay."

"That's okay. We'll make do." I smiled and sat on the ground.

"Oh please don't. You should take the chair." Clark instantly hurried to say, reaching his hand out to me to help me up.

"It's okay. I don't need it." I smiled. "So what can I do? Get you coffee? Help you sort out these papers? Google something?"

"You don't need to do anything, just please take the chair." Clark said. I could see that this was bothering him.

I smiled at him sweetly: "You seem like a gentleman but really I can sit on the floor we can make an agreement. Well switch everyday."

"How about every hour? I'm just not comfortable with you sitting on the floor all day." Clark said rubbing the back of his neck with his hand.

"Okay. That sounds good." I agreed. "But you take the first hour." When I saw Clark open his mouth I said: "I insist. And I also insist on doing something for you. I am your intern after all."

"Mmm. Okay... You could get coffee If you'd like?" Clark said.

"Okay I'm on it." I smiled excitedly. "How do you take yours?"

"Cream, two sugars." He said.

"Okay. I'll be back in 10 minutes." I said rushing to the elevator. As it went down I googled where the closest Starbucks was. 5 minutes away. That's great.

As I got outside the sun was shining and it was warm so I chose not to take a taxi.

It took four minutes for me to get to Starbucks and inside there was a long line of customers waiting. I checked the time and wondered if I would have time to take a taxi to the second closest Starbucks. 15 minutes away,,, so no. I had to stay here and go back a little later than expected.

It took three minutes before my turn to order came. I said Clark's order and then bought a hot chocolate for myself.

Then I had to run back to the daily planet with two hot beverages. I was just running along a crosswalk when my phone rang in my pocket and I got distracted. I somehow stumbled and fell to the ground. I heard a car's tires screech. Letting out a tiny scream I saw a lash or red before I closed my eyes ready to be hit by a car. And then I heard a mighty thud.

My heart was beating fast in my chest when I heard someone yell: "It's superman!"

Cameras were flashing when I opened my eyes and saw him. Superman was reaching his hand out to me to help me up: "Are you alright?" He asked with a soft voice like honey.

"I-" I mumbled not knowing what to say. "I'm okay." I said grabbing his offered hand as he helped me up.

"Are you sure? You seem a little shaken up." He said with a worried look.

"Yeah I'm okay."

"Here is your coffee." He said, handing me the two cups of starbucks.

"Oh thanks." I said still dazzled about what happened.

"Can I offer you a ride?" Superman asked putting his arm around my waist.

"Oh no." I said pressing my other hand on his chest unconsciously and felt the muscles underneath. "You go save people."

Nodding Superman smiled and asked: "Are you sure?"

"Yes." I whispered and backed away from his arms. "Thank you." I said.

"Your welcome." He said and flew away from me and the people around us who were taking videos and pictures.

"Who are you?" Someone asked.

"That looked so intimate!" Someone yelled and I blushed.

"Are you his girlfriend?" Now I blushed even more and felt embarrassed.

"No." I mumbled but I didn't know if anyone heard me.

"Or are you related?"

I made my way away from the crowd who seemed to follow me. What just happened? I wondered as I entered the daily planet building and finally got away from the people throwing me questions.

Quickly I got to the elevator and went up. "Oh I'm so sorry I'm so late!" I said when I saw him. "There was a huge line and when I was returning there was Superman and... I don't really even fully know what happened."

I said and sat to the floor. "Are you okay?" Clark asked, worried.

"Yeah. Here's your coffee." I said and handed it to him.

"Thanks." Clark said and took a sip. "Mmm, this is really good. Where did you get it?"

"Starbucks. They have the best coffee in the world." I smiled.

"Superman saved somebody again! This seemed special. Find out everything. The internet is blowing up because of this. The person who writes the best article about this gets good money for it." Mr White yelled to the room (Which went instantly quiet) and retreated back into his office. People reacted fast: They started writing stuff down, went through their computers and yelled stuff at each other.

Just one thought crossed my mind: shit!
