The journey to my home wasn't that long and soon I was letting Clark into my apartment.

"Wow. This place is very nice. How are you able to afford a place like this on your salary?" Clark asked as he looked around.

"My brother owns this. He is lending it to me as he went to live with our parents again." I said. "I think he misses spending time with our sister and his friends, since he went dark for a really long time. Also he has a really complicated love life with this reporter chick back in our hometown."

"Dark? What do you mean by that?" Clark asked.

"He was... Away. It's a long story, one not to be told tonight." I said and waved it off with my hand and walked into my bedroom. "So how fancy do I have to be?"

Clark walked into my room and shrugged. "The women there are always wearing expensive ball gown type dresses. But I bet you could walk in wearing your pink kitten dress and everyone would still find you cute." Clark laughed as he pulled out a dress with weird kitten faces all over it.

"No, I will wear something proper so you don't feel embarrassed of me." I said and put the kitten pattern dress back into the closet.

"I would never." Clark said, sounding offended almost by my implications.

"Well still. Choose." I said pulling out two dresses with one being black with pink frill on the side and the other one being blue and almost plain looking next to the pink/black dress.

"The one with pink for sure." Clark nodded and i shooed him out of the room so I could change, first taking a quick shower in the bathroom connected to my room.

The dress was beautiful that's for sure. The pink frill was big and landed on the floor, it had no straps and it was the perfect lenght for me so it covered my shoes. I paired it with light pink shoes, marble purse with a marble phonecase. Rose gold and pearl jewelry and Chanel perfume. I did a simple makeup with light pink lipstick (not as intense as in the picture) and pulled my hair in wavy curls.

I walked out of the bedroom and saw Clark stand up from the couch. "Wow... You are a vision." He gawked.

"Thank you." I smiled and linked our arms. "Ready to go?" I asked and threw my keys into my purse.

"Yes. The buss leaves to Gotham city in 10 minutes." Clark said.

"We are taking the buss?" I said and felt my eyes widen in surprise.

"Yeah." Clark said and once again his face blushed. "I... I don't own a car."

"Well... Then it's a good think I do." I said holding up my Mercedes Benz car keys. "Well actually my brother does. But he doesn't have to know I'm borrowing it tonight."

"Don't you think that's wrong? Almost stealing." Clark asked as raised his brows.

"No we are family so it doesn't count. We'll be carefull." I said and dragged Clark to the underground garage that the car was stored in.

"Okay well I quess this will make the trip easier." Clark shrugged as he sat into the shotgun seat.

The hour trip was fun. Clark told me about his childhood and I told him about mine. We shared funny moments about our lives and our greatest achievments.

"We had a dog once." I said and smiled brightly at the memory. "My brother found it somewhere, rescued it. We were just kids but we were allowed to keep it. We raised it for a while. It became part of the family. Turns out... It was a wolf all along. Not a dog." I started laughing.

"Your brother seems like a handfull." Clark laughed.

"Yeah. He is." I agreed with a fond smile.

"My sister isn't any easier. She's acting up now that my brother is back." I said with a sigh.

"And what is she like?" Clark asked.

I sighed: "She has been grieving a really long time. So she became... Reckless, impulsive. Substance abuse even. She started partying... Just like our brother. She looks up to him. But she is a good person. Tries to help people when ever she can." I mumbled. "She brought home a stray cat once. I was allergic to cats and nobody could make her give the kitten up. When dad got home he told her the cat was a tiger and had to be returned to the zoo. Dad always had a way with her." I smiled shaking my head.

"You sound like a happy family." Clark said.

"We have our issues... But yeah... We are." I agreed. "Your turn. Tell me about your family."

"Well, I love my mother. I send her half of my paycheck every month. That's why I can't afford a better appartment." Clark started: "My mother couldn't have children... So when she and my father found me... She believed it was fate."

"Wait, you're adopted?" I interrupted.

"Yeah. Almost no one knows that so... Pleace keep it to yourself." Clark said suddenly. "Anyway, after dad died, my mother took my father's position in the Kansas state senate. She's from here you know. Metropolis."

"So how did she meet your dad?" I asked.

"They were on the same finance class in university. She made up an excuse to talk to him by asking for notes." Clark chuckled. "When he decided he wanted to marry her and asked for her hand from her father, he said no. That he didn't want his daughter to marry some poor farmer. So... Logically my father punched him in the face. It's safe to say they didn't have a good relationship." Clark laughed.

"May I ask how he died?" I questioned.

"He went to save our dog. There was a storm... A hurricane." Clark mumbled.

"Clark. I'm so sorry." I said as I pulled up to the side of a great big castle like house.
