Hey guys!!! Chapter 2 yay!

************************************************************

I couldn't believe it but I was packing to go on the worst trip of my life! I could've put my foot down and said "No I'm not going!" but I'd already promised Rebecca. So with a heavy heart I packed my suitcase. It was mainly filled with Converses, sandals, random tee-shirts, and shorts.

"Hmmmm" I said spinning around in my room. Was that everything? Sure didn't seem like it... Suddenly my eyes rested on my sunglasses. "Oh!" I laughed swirling my fancy shades in my hands. It would've sucked to forget that!

"Victoria!" Rebecca greeted enthusiastically.

"Rebecca!"

"Hey girl!" She giggled hugging me tight. "What cha up to?"

"Packing." I gestured to my big, purple travel bag.

"That's it?" She raised her eyebrow and I nodded. "Do you have your clothes?"

"Yep."

"Shoes?"

"Check."

"Makeup?"

"Nope."

"Why not?" She put her hands on her hips and looked imploringly at me.

"I just think that I should wear makeup a little less often..." I lied smoothly.

"Lies!" She shouted seeing right through my facade. "You just don't want Erik to be attracted to you!" I sighed and silently admitted defeat. "Well it won't work! You look great with or without makeup."

Rolling my eyes I walked over to my makeup case and peered inside. "I'll take this, okay?"  I presented a small tube of chap stick to her and she smiled.

"Good!" She took it out of my hand and threw it in the bag. "Okay... Do you have a swimsuit?"

My eyes went round. "I completely forgot!" She chuckled and rolled her eyes.

An hour later and we had added a hairbrush, 3 swimsuits, a sundress (Rebecca insisted), another top, my toothbrush, a beach towel, and my mp3 player.

"Wow!" I said looking at my bulging bag. "I can't beleive all the stuff I forgot!"

"Yeah. That's what best friends are for." She panted, breathless from trying to get the bags zipper closed.

"Sup girlies!" Ben greeted coming into the room. "Okay so were ready to load up the car, we're leaving in an hour."

"Alright, you gonna get this?" Rebecca asked him sweetly.

"Of course my lady." He winked her way before taking off with the bag.

Blushing Rebecca and dread-filled me made our way down the stairs. Erik was sitting on the couch but he stood up as he saw me. "Hi Victoria."

I nodded a hello and continued to walk toward the front door. My phone rang then offering me an excuse not to talk to Erik. "Hello?" I answered without looking at the caller id.

"Hey babe, how's it going?" A deep voice asked.

"Babe?" I repeated in shock before shaking my head in doubt. "I'm sorry I think you've got the wrong number..."

The voice chuckled. "Didn't check who it was did you?"

"No.... Wyatt?"

"Yeah."

"Oh." I chuckled seeing Erik watching me from my peripheral. "Did you change up your voice for that?"

"Yeah but that's not the point. Come see me before you leave!" He ordered before hanging up.

"Rude!" I said looking at my phone.

"Who was that? Your boyfriend?" Ben asked using his nickname for Wyatt. He started calling him that because of how much Wyatt started coming over after the janitor came back for me. The nickname was fitting though... Wyatt seemed to always be there for me when I needed him.

"Yeah," I smiled, shoving the phone into the pocket of my jeans "and he's not my boyfriend!" Ben just smiled rolling his eyes.

Once we were all outside Ben and Erik started throwing all the bags into Ben's convertible. I couldn't tear my gaze from Erik, he'd worked out a lot over the last 5 months or so and it was definitely paying off! Rebecca caught me staring and smiled knowingly.

"Uh oh." Ben said. I looked over at the 5 bags in the trunk (Rebecca brought 2) and saw the problem. The trunk couldn't close with all the bags and there wasn't room to move them down by our feet.

Frowning I turned to Ben. "What now?"

"I don't kn-" A horn interrupted him and a van drove up.

We were all confused until a familiar young man jumped out. "Kelly!" I surprised myself by squealing and running toward him. He'd finished the last month of his schooling online because he wanted to sleep in everyday.

Smiling from ear to ear he accepted my hug, even spun me around. "Now that's a nice welcome!" He laughed. "I heard you guys were planning on taking a trip without notifying me?"

"That's right." Ben admitted not the least bit sorry.

"Well I want to come."

"There isn't exactly enough room..." Erik said apologetically.

"I think we'll find room, says the guy in front of a huge van!" Kelly laughed, waving his arms out at his sides.

"Okay then "

Me and Rebecca exchanged a look then. I could tell she was thinking the same thing I was.

This would be one heck of a trip.
