Chapter 11

VICTORIA POV

My eyes are wide and i realise am still screaming when my eyes meet with an old woman with haggard grey hair, her white skin falling from her face her bones showing but with no blood and incredibly grey eyes she's with a candle when she cackles, and she whispers

RUN

Obviously I run for my life book in hand when I turn back she's no longer there I thank the big man up there, when I finally reach the door opening it, I get in my car and immediately drive off.

I reach the house in the span of 10 minutes when I spot mom pacing the living room

Where the hell did you go to!!! she screams

I sit down, breathing heavily before I start explaining what happened from the vision to the scary old lady, I don't know who she was mom, I did not hear footsteps nothing just a door closing and I don't think she works in my school I would have noticed it.

She nods, you came out unharmed that's a good thing okay, now where is the book?

I hand it to her but she gives it back to me, I obviously know what's in here, you read it, its Nelli-Vance history book, you should know your roots she shrugs with a shake of her head.

I nod, the question being who has been reading it and why in that fucked up place

She sighs, I think hunters, obviously one of your teachers is one I don't know but I suspect so

I nod yea, for now, am pipping hot and I need a bath, I walk upstairs, I pull of my clothes taking a long bath, I change to my PJs grabbing the book and I start to read, something's here are things mum already explained to us am half way through the book when I realise a page is missing, its from the witches column, its not particularly obvious a page is gone cause the book is not numbered but as I look closely I notice not just a page is missing but a whole chapter with the amount of pages gone I guess so, I close the book thinking which of the teachers is a hunter.

what is in that chapter that had to be thorn out, I head downstairs to mom's office, I see she's inside reading some files

Mom do you have a copy of the history book? I ask walking in further

She nods, of course one of my prized possessions she heads to her stack of books pulling out one and gives it to me, what is it honey??

I open up the book in silence to the exact page, and I grab mom's copy, I open it up to and see exactly the same thing, I furrow my brows, mom did you ever notice a whole chapter is missing from the book?

She shook her head in confusion, of course not a chapter is not missing I know this book like the back of my palm

No mom, look closer it looks all normal but when you join the two sides together, you can see there is a little gaping whole which is supposed to be there, obviously there is no tear marks but its obviously it was removed maybe by magic, I think that's why the book was there on the floor when I got it.

The person searching did not find what they were looking for so they dumped it. Mom I assure you something big is going on, someone is planning something, its either the person is on our side unknowingly or on Digira side, and I have to find out I sigh

She nods with a sigh like she doesn't believe me.

I have to sleep I say looking at the clock on the wall reading 1:00am. I climb upstairs with the book in hand as soon as I get in bed I black out.
