VICTORIA POV

Is she here with you now?

I look around but don't spot her am about to say no

Boo

I scream holding my hand to my chest, I turn to her what's up with the scaring

Wow, just convenient my daughter now talks to ghosts dad mumbles

I roll my eyes and let my eyes drift from her, I need to get to school, I have a test

So?

I need my keys for that

Walk my mum says

I eye her, I should walk I say slowly trying to understand her

Uhm mom, I think I don't need it, I stare pointedly at her placing my hands on my hips

Well deal with it, now if you would excuse me, I have work to do, and I want to see your car in the garage or you're going to your grandparents place

I inhale, then exhale, I quickly walk out of the house ignoring Mr Chesterfield who looks at me with sympathy, now that I think of it I wonder if he knows what's going on with the family or any of the maids, I've been so busy I don't spend time with Rosalinda or Mara anymore

I make it to school, in 30 minutes, with my jacket off, I look at the time and realise its lunch, by now Cassie should probably be freaking out, I just hope no one knows about the questioning thing, people in this school are pretty judgemental, especially to those at the top circle, we are expected to not make any mistake like were not humans, but what can I say am actually not human I laugh silently to myself at the truth of it

walking through the empty hallway and make my way to the cafeteria doors, everything still looks the same, but instead of the normal blue and white uniforms the cafeteria is filled with different colours, my stomach growls reminding me of my impending hunger, I quickly head to the line,were they are two cheerleaders in front of me,

Did you hear what happened this morning?

I heard she got arrested the 2nd one says like I can't hear them when they know am right behind them

I heard she killed the detective on the way to the station

Okay enough, don't make me use a chainsaw to decapitate you both I snarl at them, the problem, talon took over so they are practically shaking eyes wide as they stare at me.

I roll my eyes and grab a tray grabbing a pudding along with  sandwiches and orange juice, I scowl at them before matching to my seat, when I sit down, I feel eyes on me, I turn to Cassie, how much damage is done?
