Chapter 16: Ribbons

Bakugou watched you play with the animals in the garden, from the
Little setup. Your happy face made him feel a little warm inside. It was good to see that you were doing fine.

You saw him standing there and waved your arm. "Hey, Bakugou. Join us". He bounced a little from your sudden request. He averts down and wonders to himself.

Should he join you or not? For some reason, Ochaco words kept playing in the back of his head.

He sucked in a breath and hesitantly walked towards you. When he got close, you sprinkled a small number of bird seeds in his hand.

"I want you to join me in feeding the birds"

"Oh sure". A few birds appeared right in front of you two. They pecked the ground as if there were seeds down there. Bakugou stared off at them then stared back to you. He looked unsure of this but you gestured for him to continue. He motioned forward, his face looked plain.

When he was at a proximity of the birds, he squatted down and shoved the seeds in their face. Because of his..appearance, they flew back getting further away from him.

Bakugou sneered at them, moving forward and once again shoving the food towards their face. They scattered towards the trees and stayed up there.

Bakugou swore under his breath. He sent the birds that were up at the trees, a death glare.

"Look Bakugou". You giggled. Bakugou lifted an eyebrow at you before looking down, seeing that you were talking about the bird that was on his palms. The bird seemed to be pecking on the seeds. You squatted down right next to him.

"Seems that he's the only who doesn't fear you". You lightly rubbed the birds head with your finger. Bakugou glares at it. He seemed to be confused about this bird actions. Why didn't he join the other birds when they scattered away from him.

Little by Little, birds soon started to go towards Bakugou, resting on his shoulders.

"So now they want to come". Bakugou angrily says.

You giggled. He looked like a bird post only he held his usual angry expression. It was nice. Spending time with him. Those days when you were sick, you missed going outside and sitting by the flower beds. You missed reading on the Gazebo. You missed being with-

"What are you smiling about?". You shot out of your thoughts with Bakugou interrupting them. You hadn't realized that you were smiling at him blankly. You must have looked like an idiot.

"Oh sorry. I was just thinking". You reassured him that it was nothing. Bakugou then shrugged it off, still holding his position. You hadn't realized that more and more birds were coming to him. Now he really looked like a bird post.

You saw one bird heading down. You held out your finger and it landed on it. Looking at the tree, you pushed yourself up using Bakugou's paw.

Bakugou felt a surge through his body. You never really touched his paw. Well besides that time in the library when he gave that whole room to you but that was weeks ago. He averted his eyes down. You didn't shudder at his paw. Maybe because you were getting so used to his presence that you didn't fear him.

You let the bird go up into the sky as you raised your finger up and looked back at Bakugou. His face was a little softened. You lightly smiled at him. He was caught off guard a little.
