Chapter 18: Bittersweet

Sabrina P.O.V

I woke up the next morning feeling pretty well. I hopped out of my bed and slipped on tight black skinny jeans and a loose white tank top. I lightly curled my hair when Tom knocked at my door. I stood up and opened it. "Morning Sabrina." Tom smirked. "Hey Tom, Whats up?" I asked. "Nothing I just wanted to know if you would go hunting with me?" He asked nervously. "Sure, but where is Tucker?" I said grabbing my jacket. "He went into town to go shopping." Tom said. I smiled and nodded at him. "Well lets go." I said pulling on my vans.

I sat on a rock while Tom hunted a deer. The muscles in his back tensed as he went in for the kill. He missed the deer and I laughed at him. He still has a lot to learn. "What you think you can do better?" Tom glared at me. "I know I can do better." I grinned. "Oh its on." Tom smirked. I smiled at stood up. I caught a scent of a elk about a mile away. I let out a small growl. Tom looked at me and I knew he smelt the elk also. The game was on.

Tom P.O.V

I watched as Sabrina sprinted towards the direction of the elk. "Shit." I muttered to myself. Sabrina would probably get there first. She was faster than me. Hmm I could take a short cut. I hopped in the trees and started hopping from one to another. Soon I was above her and she didn't even notice me. I spotted the elk from the tree I was in. Sabrina hid behind a tree below me. The elk hadn't sensed her yet. She crouched down and narrowed her eyes. She was about to jump in for the kill when I jumped on the elk at the same time. We collided and she grinned at me "Share?" I nodded at her. She sunk her teeth in the elk and killed it. I bit on one of the legs and began sucking its blood. I looked at Sabrina drinking from the elks neck. Blood dripped down her chin. I was turned on just looking at her. I just smiled at her "You got some blood on ya." "Where." She said looking down at her shirt. "Let me get it." I said wiping the blood from her chin, my thumb brushed over her soft lips. I wanted her so bad, but she has a mate.. I couldn't have her.. Or could I? My hand dropped from her face as she stood up. "We better go now, Im suppose to met Alistair in a hour." She smiled at me. I nodded and stood up.

Sabrina P.O.V

I ran towards the loft. Tom ran through my mind.. When he touched my lips I read his mind. He wanted me so bad it hurt him. I love Tom but Benjamin is my mate. I belong to him. I shook these thoughts from my mind. I walked into the loft and sat down on the couch. Tucker walked in an sat besides me with tons of bags in his hands. "What the hell are you doing?" Tucker yelled at me. "What the hell are you talking about?" I asked confused. "You need to get ready to go with Alistair." Tucker said. "I am ready." I said looking at my clothes. "No no no, I got you some clothes." Tuck said grinning. I shook my head and took the bag from Tucker. I pulled out some tight ripped skinny jeans, a black leather jacket, white loose tank top, and black studded boots. "I love them." I said smiling at Tuck. "I know." Tuck grinned at me. Tuck started pushing me at in my room "Now get your ass ready." I nodded ad walked into my room. I got on the clothes Tuck got me. I applied some makeup and straightened my hair. I walked out into the loft. "Damn you look good." Tucker said looking me ip and down. I smirked at Tuck, Tom stared at me. "Like what you see." I smirked at Tom. He grinned and looked away. "Well boys I better be going." I said walking out of the loft.

I sat on a rock in the forest waiting for Alistair. He walked up wearing a blue plaid button up shirt with some tight blue jeans. "Hello Sabrina you look lovely." Alistair said. "Well I try." I joked. "Aha I don't think you even have to try." Alistair grinned. I shook my head "So where are we going?" "To my grandmothers." He replied. "Your taking me to your grandmothers for a date." I laughed. "Aha it will be fun, you will love my granny." Alistair laughed at me. We walked for a while talking about our childhoods. We arrived at a old wooden house. There was a old little lady on the porch. "Alistair!" The old woman exclaimed and embraced Alistair in a hug. "Hello gram this is Sabrina, Sabrina this my dear old gram Elsa." Alistair said. "Oh she is lovely." Elsa whispered to Alistair. I laughed at her comment. "I suppose you brought her here for me to tell her all the things Ive learned over the years." Elsa said eyeing Alistair. Alistair nodded and Elsa signalled for us to follow her.

We walked into Elsa study. There were books everywhere. "Sit down." Elsa said. Alistair and I sat down in two chairs in front of Elsa's desk. She sat down at the desk. "I can sense the protecter in you dear." Elsa smiled at me. "I knew your mother, she was a good protecter.. Im very sorry for your lost." Elsa said looking at her hands."Its fine." I smiled weakly. "The swords Alistair gave you will help with being a protecter. They are blessed with the blood of the first supernatural beings." Elsa said. "The first supernatural beings sacrificed themselves to protect all supernatural beings after them. Thats where protecters come in, They defend them from any harm." Elsa said. I nodded at her. She continued with all the stories of supernatural beings. She finished and I understood what I must do.

Alistair led me out of the house too a cliff. We sat down looking out over the forest. "Thank you Alistair." I spoke softly. "Its no problem." Alistair smiled. We sat there peacefully for awhile. Alistair put his hand in mine. I looked down at our hands. I pulled my hand away "Im sorry Alistair.. I have a mate." "I know you do... but he isn't here is he?" Alistair said sadly. "He isn't here but that doesn't mean I don't love him still... You just don't understand." I said avoiding his eyes. "No I understand Sabrina.. I once had a mate. She was my everything, I would have done anything for her. i should have changed her when I had the chance, but I didn't and she got killed a car accident. I got there as she was slipping away.. I held her in my arms as the life left her. She died in my arms... I loved her so much.." Alistair spoke with tears falling from his face. I realised I was crying too. "I was dumb to think someone like you could ever want me." Alistair whispered. I pulled his face to mine and kissed him. It was bittersweet. We were both crying. I pulled away from the kiss and smiled at him. He looked at me with a familiar look in his eyes. It was love. "So beautiful." He said stoking my cheek. Benjamin came into my mind. it hurt to think of him. "I should be going." I whispered. He nodded and pulled me into a hug. His lips connected with mine for another kiss. The kiss was good, but it was not like when Benjamin and I kissed. I pulled away and ran towards the loft. I arrived at the loft and went straight to my room avoiding Tuckers questions about the date. I just needed to go to sleep. Tomorrow I would start training.

Im thinking of bringing back Benjamin in the next few chapter(: Also I'm wondering if i should have the Cullen family come back to Sabrina.. But I don't know yet!•_• Anyway Ill try to update more often.. Im just thinking of new chapter idea's!(:
