The Millennium Falcon dropped out of hyperspace above Kamino, the lost planet at the coordinates they had been sent by Finn from the Freedom. The Resistance fleet was already in orbit raining fire down upon the planet's surface.

Rey had never seen an ocean so vast and expansive before in her small travels of the Galaxy. Amidst the ocean and pelting rain was a facility suspended above the ocean surface with foundations that ran miles deep. There was canon fire from the facility shooting at the attacking Resistance ships but what they needed to do was infiltrate and shut down the Nexus operations once and for all. "There isn't a clear landing, we'll be shot out of the sky." Rey lamented as she manoeuvred the Falcon through the canon fire searching for a clean landing.

Ben searched the area with the Force, the vicinity was teeming with dark energy. "There." He pointed. "You can hover the Falcon giving enough height to lower the ramp for us to jump out."

Rey gave him a flabbergasted look, "I am not leaving you to do this by yourself."

Ben nudged his head in the direction of Damon. "He'll be with me."

"No!" Rey exclaimed fed up with this argument. "Damon will pilot the Falcon in orbit and I will come with you."

"I'll retrieve the charges for you." Damon interjected prior to swiftly leaving the cockpit to allow Ben and Rey to squabble over this.

Ben frowned. "Why are you so stubborn?"

"Oh, I'm stubborn. Really, Ben? Why are you so stubborn?" She countered sarcastically.

"Woman I am trying to keep you safe!"

"I can handle myself. Besides I think you are the one who needs to be kept safe." Rey argued bemused by this wholly unnecessary argument - there was a war going on outside the doors of the Falcon and they were sat there arguing about why the other was stubborn! Rey was incredulous. "I almost lost you. Do you really think I would allow you to go into this facility with Gods know what in there?"

Ben took a resigned sigh and pinched the bridge of his nose. Rey regarded him with melancholy at how alike these small mannerisms were to Leia. Although, she believed if that was ever mentioned he would riot. It was the same feeling she would get when she would observe Ben tinkering away at small appendages in the Falcon or somewhere in their little retreat on Naboo and felt her looking at him knowing that those would have been tiny pieces of knowledge he gained from Han Solo, his father.

"Stop looking at me like that." Ben said through closed eyes.

"Like what?"

"That." With his free hand he gestured to Rey unbeknownst to how she was looking at him and at the same time he could see, feel and hear her thoughts.

The sounds of footfall on the steel floor broke the pair from the melancholy ambiance and in the direction of Damon who held a satchel. "You ready?" Rey nodded and carefully manoeuvred the Falcon into autopilot whilst she swapped with Damon allowing him to take over. "I'll fly around. Comm me when you're ready to be picked up."

"Copy that." Rey responded before she and Ben descended the ramp and jumped cat-like onto the rain soaked surface. "Have you got a poncho?"

Ben gave her a nonplussed look. "We are going into a building. Do I look like I care about getting a bit wet?"

We wouldn't want to mess up your hair! Rey teased in her head but the ice stare Ben gave her suggested the walls of their bond had been completely open and he had heard the witty statement.

Once they entered the facility they were surprised at how truly deserted it was. The building was a relic to the days of the Clone Wars yet here it stood refurbished and untouched by war until now. The walls were white-washed and clean, the odd droid filtering about here and there. Yet as they closed in towards the epicentre of operations they were met by Finn, Naara and BB-8.
