I have something
Something weighing,
Weighing on my mind,
and in my heart.
But before you think
Just know this is about me
Me making my peace.
Closing the circle
that I never truly saw close.
The one we both left open
With blame and hurt filled words
That were falling broken
The way things ended,
I admit I am at fault
For the way we are broken.
Do not think I am trying to turn back clocks,
No.
Im just trying to tell you
Something I should have said sooner:
I apologize.
I apologize for the pain and the misery
I apologize I for the late nights and the tears.
Please just know,
After we've both moved on
And we both just kind of watch from afar.
I still wish you the best
I still wish you all the happiness in the world
I still congratulate you on your successes
I see you're happier,
and that is all that matters.
Best of luck out in the real world
I know you'll do the great things
you've always wanted to do.
I had something,
Something weighing:
Weighing in my mind,
And in my heart,
Although now;
It is free.
