Miko P.O.V.

I sat on the couch my back against Williams' shoulder as Mika's head laid in my lap. He had to fell asleep after I gave him his anxiety Meds. I could hear Maki in the other room on the phone with Dad who was at grandmas to check on her before surgery tomorrow. I looked at Layla who was colouring as Marcus watched her. She had made Mika laugh in the car which made me happy cause usually he stayed quiet for a while.

I was playing with his hair. "Hey, Miko. Dad wants to talk to you." He said walking into the room. I reached my hand out as he walked over. "Hello?" I said holding the phone to my ear. "Are you okay?" He asked. I heard the worry in his voice and the way his voice sounded dry. "I'm fine," I answered. My breath caught in my throat as Williams hand slide into my hair slowly playing with the strains. "You promise? She didn't cause you any problems like she does Mika?" He asked.

"I promise. The only time I'd react like that is if she took one of them from me." I said leaning my head back into Williams' hand. "How is he doing?" He asked the sound of him moving around in the background. My eyes widened hearing a familiar pop sound. "You put that Jar back in the cabinet and he's doing better than he usually does," I ordered. "Jesus, boy. What do you have super hearing?" He asked. "Yes now put the jar of moonshine back into the cabinet you're not gonna drink cause I'm not coming to pick you up." He sighs as I heard him close the jar followed by the cabinet closing.

"Thank you. When will you be home?" I asked chewing on my thumbnail. "I'll leave here in an hour maybe so around 6 or 7." He answered. "Okay. Want me to give the phone back to Maki?" I asked. "No, no. I'll let y'all go. If I'm not home before he wakes up have him call me." He said. "Okay, love you. Bye."

"I love you too, bye." I sat Maki phone on the coffee table with a sigh as I rubbed my face. "You good?" Daddy asked kissing the back of my neck. I nodded my head turning my head to kiss him. "Can you help me carry him to his bed?" I asked breaking away from the kiss. "Yea. Which room is his?" He asked standing up stretching his arms before putting one under his knees and the other under his up back lifting him from the couch.

"This way," I said walking down the hall opening the boy's bedroom door seeing Maki laying in his bed looking up at the ceiling as he petting Spice who laid on his chest. "This bed. Maki if he wakes up tell me." I said as William laid him in his bed. "Will do," Maki mumbled out sounding tired. I turned to grab Williams hand walking out of the boy's room closing the door. I sat back on the couch followed by Daddy.

I looked over at Layla who looked like she was falling as she coloured the carebear. Before I asked her if she was tired William asked, "Can she take a Nap in your bed?" She looked up fast said the word every kid says at nap time. "I'm not tired. I got Care Bears to colour. No time for a nap." I laughed nodding yes. "Layla, you can take Marcus with you. I'll even turn cartoons on the TV while you're in there." I waited as she thought about my offer before she yelled out Deal. I walked her to my room turn on the TV and tucking her in with Marcus.

I sat down but not on the couch. I wrapped my arms around his neck hiding my face in his chest as he rubbed circles on my back. I moved my lips to say something only to be interrupted. "You don't have to tell me unless you want to." He whispered into my ear kissing my cheek. "But I want too," I mumbled. "Okay, but don't tell me anything you don't want to till you ready." He said wrapping his arms around my waist.

"My mother, Nacy never had anything to do with me or the Snowballs till after all of us were out of diapers. I think I was 6 when she moved in with dad and us. It was normal for a while. Dad worked earning money and did the few jobs around the house she wouldn't do. She'd cook, clean, watch us, pick me up and take me to school. The things stay at home parents do." I said as I twirled a piece of his hair around my finger.
