Chapter 4: Lonely Love

It's not that John hated when Abel acted like his sister. He was just the kind of guy who wanted to be left alone to do what he wanted. You could say it was because of the way he was brought up back in Vancouver. It was always "Oh Johnny don't do that!" or "Now John what would your father say if he was here!" or the worst, "If you ever disobey me again you can say goodbye to your friends!"

The mansion was very lonely. He much preferred his small apartment in downtown Salzburg. There he could sit back play games with a bottle of Stelinos and listen to music without old Mrs. Highly there to slap him across the head.

"I don't think I've ever been here." Abel said as she stepped in the door.

"Welcome to paradise!" John said as he popped a Blazing Fire Stelino.

"I thought you were rich. Why do you live in this dump?"

"I live in this amazing place so that I can afford everything else I want. Besides, nice places give me bad memories." John walked over to the massive stereo system that had speakers all around the apartment.

"I guess that's good enough. Do you have any green? I'm dying for a hit." Abel asked desperately.

John had turned on some Billy Talent, "I won't get any until Monty gets another shipment but I got some THC Stelinos if you want one."

Abel nodded and John pulled out a drawer from a dresser that he kept full of different kinds of drugs; some legal and some illegal. John didn't play by the rules anymore so he didn't care what kind of Stelinos he picked up.

"I thought you were stopping Stelinos since that indecent with Fredrick?" John asked as he handed Abel the pill.

"He lost his life from an illegal, Ball Stream Stelino. Those things are deadly and he knew that. I trust you make sure yours are clean." Abel said looking at her feet.

"Of course I do Abel."

John felt a strange pain in his heart. He hadn't felt this way in a long time but he knew it well nonetheless. He walked up to Abel and gave her a good caring hug.

"John." Abel sighed.

"Abel, look. I've always considered you family and my family is strong. We help each other out. That's what my father told me. So I need you to be strong and get over Fredrick before he pulls you down with him." John said before releasing Abel from his grip.

Abel walked over to the couch that sat directly across from the large flat screen John used for his video game and Abel could only assume he used it for porn as well. That was a good assumption.

"Hey John?" Abel asked in a nervous voice.

"Yeah. What's up?"

"When was the last time you got laid?"

"Well.." The question had completely caught him off guard.

"I'm waiting." Abel crossed her arms and grinned.

"Why do you care?"

"Just curious." Abel stared at him hard.

"July." John answered.

"So it's been a while for you hey?"

"I went to Lizzy's funeral a week after."

"Oh, I'm so sorry." Abel felt like she had just been shot in the chest.

"It's fine. I still don't see why they had her funeral over a year after she died." John said as he sat down next to Abel.

"Did you say the speech?"
