"You can't have a relationship without trust being the foundation."

After I called Brandon back, he told me to meet him at the park. I had no clue what was really going on, but his voice sounded distant, yet urgent. I became anxious as I walked down the street. What could he be so urgent about? Only the worse scenarios came to mind which made me more nervous.

I spotted Brandon sitting on one of the swings and I quickly made my way to him. The crunching of the leaves beneath my feet was heard and he turned around but refused to make eye contact. What the hell?

"Brandon what-" I stood in front of him.

"Did you kiss Adrian?" He quickly asked as he starred down at his lap.

"What?" I was taken back by this sudden accusation that was being thrown at me.

"Did you kiss Adrian? Or even Jacob?" He finally looked at me, but the only emotion I saw from him was hurt. Anger seemed to rush through my veins as I knew exactly what his was, more specifically, how he found out and who told him.

"I told you, I dated Jacob a couple of months ago. Aside from that, Adrian and I kissed twice, one time being over seven months ago and the other being over four months ago" I defended. He shook his head and laughed as he pulled his phone from his pocket and pulled up a picture. He showed it to me and my eyes grew wide, it was Jacob kissing Maya, but was photoshopped to make it look like me.

And then there was another picture of Adrian and I kissing, but it was after Jacob and I had ended things while he was on tour.

Yes, I kissed him again.

"Then explain this." He stood up and walked closer to me. I knew Brandon would never lay a hand on me, but that didn't mean I didn't back up cautiously.

"Brandon, that is obvious photoshop. Look at it, when have I ever been that petite?" Whoever, shelby, edited that picture did a terrible job doing so.

"Okay fine, what about this one of you and Adrian?" He showed me the other. My heart raced and I'm pretty sure he could hear it through my chest.

"That was four months ago. It was way before we ever became a thing." I tried not to raise my voice from being frustrated. If Shelby gets what she wants with Brandon, it will not end well for her.

"Do you have feelings for either of them?" His demeanor changed from sad and confused to angry and demanding. It scared me.

"No!" my voice raised higher than I intended, "No, I don't have feelings for either of them."

His facial expression softened as he looked at me. He must've seen me back up as he stepped closer.

"Look, if you want me, I'll drop all communication with Jacob, but Adrian is one of my best friends. I just need you to trust me." I stepped closer, showing him I was no longer scared of him.

"It's not that I don't trust you, Jessica!" He raised his voice slightly, "It's them I don't trust!"

"So trust me more!" My voice raised to match his, "If you trust me more, then you'll believe me when I say I won't let anything happen!"
