Alexie's story- Forever Yours

SURPRISE!!!!

we finally got home, and Arnie helped me inside. he ran my duffel bag upstairs and then yelled," We're Home! Alexie is here!" no one answered. i hobbled into the kids' playroom. they weren't there. arnie helped me search the downstairs and he searched the upstairs. then we managed to get into the basement. we searched everywhere. then i checked the garage. all of the cars were at home. "they cant be gone. "i whispered. arnie came over to me. " lets check the dance studio."

we walked across the backyard and over to the horse stalls. i checked on princess ad mama and daddy's horses. they seemed fine. arnie helped me up the swirly staircase and finally we got to the huge, closed doors.  Arnie reached out and took hold of the knobs. he threw open the doors and-

"SURPRISE!! WELCOME HOME ALEXIE!!!!" my family yelled. i smiled, seeing everyone's familiar faces. daddy ran over and picked me up, whirling me around and kissing me. "welcome home, baby." he said. he set me down gently. i looked around. there were colorful balloons everywhere you looked. there was cake, ice cream, chips'n'dip, carrot sticks, soda, juice, all the good party stuff. and best of all were big stacks of presents nearby! "thank you." i cried, tears running down my face. "thank you all so much!" "anything for you, baby." Michael smiled. everyone nodded. "we missed You, lexie!" my nieces and nephews ran towards me and hugged my good leg. i bent over to hug them. "and I've missed all of you kids too." i told them.

then the party began. i sat in a recliner DJ had pulled upstairs an watched everyone have a good time. i had a piece of strawberry cake that lesha and Robyn had made. mama made her special cheese sauce for this sandwich i had ate. Michael told me that he and MacKenzie had just found out yesterday that there was another Johnson on the way. (they never stop). daddy told me about how good business has been. Sarah showed me her new pet snake she had found in our lake. she named him 'lake junior. then, mama told us to all sit down for the present opening.

everyone all sat around me. arnie sat next to me and held on to my crutches. the first present i opened was from daddy and mama. they had given me some new dance clothes and a brace for my leg when my cast would be taken off. which was in about two weeks. Michael, Mackenzie, and their kids had given me a new bracelet. but this wasn't an ordinary bracelet. it was a one of a kind charm bracelet. I'll tell you about it later. one by one, i thanked everyone for the gifts after i had opened all of them. then i told mama that i was a little tired and she helped me up to my room.
