Chapter 11The car past Alice's street and continued going north. Speeding past her apartment. Confused, Alice looked over at Griffin. He was staring at his cellphone.
"Um he missed the turn," Alice said to Griffen as she knodded to the driver who was focused on the road.
Griffen didn't reply to her. He just continued texting as if she hadn't spoken.
"Hey! Hello. That was my turn. Back there. We missed it," Alice said waving her hand in front of Griffin.
Griffin only glanced up momentarily. He finished what he was doing then slid his phone into his jacket pocket.
"No we did not miss your turn. Three months starts now. You no longer live there."
A wave of several emotions washed over Alice. Anger then annoyance then confusion then anger again.
Was Griffin that much of a asshole?
She wasn't just his property now. She had free will, and a right to her property.
"My stuff-," Alice began but was cut of quickly by Griffin's hand.
"It's being taken care of."
Alice scoffed,"Did you just silence me with your hand?!"
She was beyond pissed now. First he basically black mails her and now he wasn't letting her get her stuff. And on top of it all, he was shushing her with his hand.
Griffin had been greatly mistaken. He thought Alice would sit, obey and look pretty. No. If she was going to stay for three months, she would make it worth her while.
The two sat in complete silence as the car sped through town. The car slowed and Alice was face to face with a large apartment complex.
"Apartment. Wow really," She said hoping he heard the rudeness in her voice.
Griffin rolled his eyes but didn't reply. He only got out of the car and walked towards the door. Alice's door was opened by the door man but Alice slid to the other side of the car where she opened the door on her own and followed Griffin.
She had decided she would be as difficult as she could.
Griffin pretended to not notice her obstinance. She was suppose to be his likeable, arm candy. He had obviously made a huge mistake. But still she was smart.
The two of them got into the elevator.
"So do you live in the penthouse," Alice said snarkily.
"Yes. I do."
Alice rolled her eyes and folded her arms. This Christian Grey act was getting old. He had money and lived in the penthouse. Of course.
As the elevator slowly made it up to the top floor, Alice glanced over at Griffin who was staring at his phone. The man was always on his phone.
"Yes," Griffin said then added while turning towards Alice, "Can I help you."
Alice looked away.
"Nothing. I just really don't understand this whole fake persona."
"Excuse me?"
This grabbed Griffin's full attention. What could Alice possibly mean my fake persona?
"Please explain this fake persona," Griffin said with his arms folded and a single eyebrow up.
Alice smile, "Well Mr. Penthouse, you have this big Boss act. Living up in the penthouse and having guards..."
