To fit the theme a bit better and make it more fun I recomend turning the background color of this book to black, you can do this in the settings on the top-right corner.
It will also work better with the pictures put in it.
I don't think you can do this on the computer but on the phone and ipad it should definitly work.
(You don't have to do this)
The music I add every time at the top also helps to make the experience better since I try my best to find music that fits that particular chapter! Also you don't have to listen to it but - at least I thinks so - it really makes it a lot more fun.
Pay attention to little details like the date for example, these might be needed to know so you can follow the storyline better. Especially in the beginning they are important so you don't get confused.
