I woke up as the sun shined brightly in my eyes, my hand went infront of them, trying to block the light as I groaned and turned around. My head didn't hurt anymore, I smiled a bit as I noticed that. I should probably get up, Taehyung must still be downstairs. Slowly I propped my body up and stretched my limbs, my back cracking in the proces of doing so.
I took a deep breath before standing up and rushing to the bathroom, refreshing myself a bit so I wouldn't smell. Trowing on some clothes I walked back into my room, opening the window to have some fresh air. It was a beautiful morning, the plants outside were covered with morning-dew as the sun slowly warmed up the chilly air.
I turned around to go downstairs as I smelled coffee. He made coffee? "Goodmorning Miyoung." Taehyung said as he had heard me. "Hey, you made coffee?" He nodded and turned around with two cups in his hands. "It took me a while to figure out how your coffe machine worked but I managed to make two, you drink coffee right?" I nodded and sat down at the table. "Thanks for making it." I said as I smiled.
"How's your head?" He said as he slurped from his drink. "A lot better, thank you again for yesterday." "It's okay, now stop saying thank you, you've already said it enough." He said as he laughed. "Ok then." I chuckeled as I realized how many times i've actually thanked him already. "I hope you don't mind but I'll leave as soon as possible, my mom is probably worried." he said as he took out his phone to check his messages. "It's okay, I understand."
I stood up and walked towards the window, enjoying the sun as I drank my coffee. It was kinda weird how fast I got used to him, he seemed comfortable as well, just staying over at someone's house whom he doens't really know. I was relieved though that he was here, otherwise I would have had to deal with that headache on my own. And trust me, that's no fun.
"Since we almost finished the project, when are we going to do the rest?" Taehyung said as he came standing beside me. "When are you free?" I asked him. "I don't really know, maybe it's best if we do it after school in the library." He suggested. I nodded and thought about it. "Tuesday then?" "That's in two days?" "Yep." "Ok, tuesday it is."
I placed the mug back on my lips only to discover that my coffee was finished, I pouted and walked back to the kitchen to place it in the sink. "I'll get going now." Taehyung said as he followed me and placed his mug next to mine. I nodded. "Make sure to not forget anything." I said as I looked around to see if there was any of Taehyungs stuff laying around. "Hmm, pretty sure I have everything." He replied, swinging his backpack over his shoulder as he looked around.
"If I find anything that's yours I'll just bring it." He nodded. "If you do, my house is just around the corner, one street further." I stuck my thumb up and walked to the frontdoor to let him out. "See you tomorrow then?" "Yup, bye Taehyung." I smiled, he made a little bow with his head and walked outside before I closed the door.
I turned around and stood there for a while. Why did I feel so weird and awkward. I shrugged and walked back into the living room to clean everything. Folding the blankets that Taehyung used and cleaning the mugs. As I finished I let out a sigh and sat down on the couch.
Mom is still not home. I took a glance at my watch only to see that it was almost 10AM already. My eyes stayed on my watch for a while before they went to the bracelet. I furrowed my eyebrows together and took the pendant inbetween my fingers. It looked dirty. Quickly I rubbed it with the hem of my sweater but it stayed the same.
I brought it closer to my face to inspect it better. It was still gold but it seemed like it got kinda grey-ish? Like the color was fading a bit? Not much though, I probably noticed it because I wore it all the time.
"That's weird." I mumbled before shrugging it off and standing up.
"Whatever, time to get things done."
