"Mom?" I yelled as I ran upstairs, searching my mother. "Mom?! Where are you?!" I shouted when I arrived on the first floor. "Yes Miyoung?" I heard, my head turned to where the sound was coming from. Mom's bedroom. I smiled and happily ran towards it, sitting next to her on the bed.
"What is it you want to ask?" She said without looking, her eyes focused on the dresses infront of her. "Can I go to Taehyhung this evening? They're making pizza and he asked me to come." Mom turned her head to me and thought for a while. "Hmm, I think I'm able to bring you so yeah? Why not?" She answered as she smiled. "Yay, thanks mom!" I said as I was ready to jump of the bed and leave to my room. "Wait, Miyoung. Before leaving, help me choose a dress for toninght. I have to go to an important meeting." I nodded and stood up, eyeing the three dresses. "Hmm, The black one, it looks fancy." I said as I grabbed it in my hands. Mom smiled and took it from me. "Thank you Mimi, I'll bring you to Taehyung before leaving to the meeting, ok?" "Ok." I smiled.

I looked back at my mom one more time before pushing the bell-buton. My mom nodded and waved from the car, starting the engine again as soon as I had ringed the bell. I looked down at my feet and fiddled with my fingers nervously before the door opened, I didn't come to Taehyung's home often, we were more likely to meet up and play outside of our homes. "Oh, hi Miyoung! Come in, Taehyung will be downstairs in a minute." I nodded and stepped inside as I heard my mom leave, the sound of her car going silent in the distance. "Hello Miss. Kim." I said as I bowed down a bit. "Ah Miyoung, no need to be so formal anymore." She laughed at my polite behaviour.
She turned around and gestured me to sit down in the couch. "Miyoung, before Taehyung is here, I have to talk to you." I nodded and sat down next to her, squeezing my hands inbetween my thighs. To my suprise she took my wrist and pulled my left hand from between my legs. I looked at her in confusion as she studied my wrist for a minute. "Where is the bracelet Taehyung gave you?" She asked, her voice getting highed at the end, like she was nervous. "I leave it at home most of the time." "Why?" I stayed silent for a while before shrugging. "I'm scared to lose it." "Keep it on." She said sternly as soon as I finished my sentence. I blinked my eyes quickly for a moment, suprised by her voice which was usually soft. "Just..., Just keep it on, ok?" She sighed as if she could read my mind. She probably knew since I looked so confused at her. "Ok." I said hesitantly, she nodded and smiled before leaving like nothing happened.
When she had left my eyes stayed on my wrist before letting my hand down. Why do I have to keep it on? It was just a regular bracelet with a pendant on it? At least I think so.
"Miyo!"
As soon as I heard that annoying nickname Taehyhung gave me I turned my head around. "Stop calling me that!" I said, trying not to sound too aggresive infront of his mom. "Give me one reason why I should stop." He said, smirking. "Because.... Because it sounds like a boy-ish name." I whined, crossing my arms infront of me, slighlty pouting. "Hmm, not good enough." He said as he turned around and walked to the kitchen. "Miyo."
"Stooooop!" I yelled as I jumped up and ran to the kitchen.

Author-note
Short but important chapter. Actually... all my chapters are short ha. I was kinda wondering if you guys like short chapters? I just find it harder to write long ones since I like to only include one important thing every time instead of multiple, but please let me know!
