When the green flames vanished I stepped out into the living room and dusted off my skirt, my mind wandering back to the conversation Albus had with me earlier.
When I looked up from the soot on my skirt I saw a sight that I had been longing to see for a while, but one I truly hadn't been expecting.
His blonde hair looked properly unkept and his loose tie and collar made him look a bit disheveled, but still so incredibly beautiful.
His steel blue eyes stared intently at mine with tears pooling at the sides. His lips tugged slightly at the corners into a small smile.
"Lily," my name fell softly from his lips. The tears quickly subsided and anger started to bubble inside of me. "Lily, I am so sor-"
"Don't you dare," I said with a sharpness I hadn't been expecting as I pushed past him and walked over toward the kitchen island, "Don't you dare say that you're sorry," I shouted as I tossed my bag onto the counter, holding my wand firmly in my hand.
"Lily, please just listen to-"
"No!" I shouted at him as I turned around to face him, stomping over to him hotly with no control over my emotions and my actions, "You listen," I poked my wand at his chest and walked even closer, forcing him to back up, "I come home from the most important try out of my life to tell you that Ireland wants me, but I can't. You aren't there! Fast Forward, it's time for my first professional league game and the one person I want there more than anything in the world is you, but you aren't there. No, you're off hell-know's-where doing hell-know's-what, but you know where you aren't?" I asked jabbing my wand under his chin. His face seemed a mixture of confused and terrified as his hands were held up by his face to show that he was defenseless, "You weren't at my bloody game! You weren't there!" I was practically screaming at this point as the anger and sadness I felt suddenly turned into an uncontrolled action in my right hand dropped my wand before it forcefully slapped his cheek. Even more sudden were the hot tears that, without warning, spilled over and down my cheeks.
Scorpius looked like he was on the verge of tears as well, "I'm so sorry, Lily," he said. It wasn't what I expected him to say after my hand landed a hard slap of his cheek.
"What?" I asked feeling baffled that he'd just apologized after being slapped.
"I'm so incredibly sorry, Lily," he said after a long pause.
Even more sudden than the hard slap I landed on Scorpius's face was my next uncontrollable action. Without thinking, without caring how mad I had been at him only moments before, without knowing what our future would hold, I knew that I couldn't pretend I wasn't still completely and totally in love with him, I crushed my lips against his.
Scorpius instinctively responded by moving his hands to my waist as his lips moved against mine.
Breathlessly I pulled away from his lips, "I love you," I said.
Scorpius smiled, "I love you, I've never stopped loving you," he said before he began kissing me again, my hands beginning to play with his hair.
I moved my attention from his lips to his neck. "I've missed you so much, Scorpius," I said against his skin.
Scorpius mumbled, "I missed you more than you can imagine."
His hands slid up my back and to my waist which he pulled closer to his. Obeying him, I moved as close as I could to his body.
Scorpius let a low moan roll through him as his hands strayed from my waist and migrated south. His fingers left trails that burned and made me want him immediately. As his hands moved further south my hands turned their focus onto the buttons of his shirt.
