A Million Miles Away

Chapter 7: December Part Three

I woke up to my muggle alarm clock blaring a quite jarring sound that was definitely more effective than my simple timer charms. I rolled over and hit the top of the beeping box continuously until the loud sound stopped. I sat up and rubbed my eyes, "Scor, we have to get ready or we'll be late," I said.

I turned to look at him, but found an empty space beside me, "Scor?" I asked as if the empty space would respond.

I got out of bed and picked up Scorpius's shirt that had been thrown onto the ground previously that evening and put it on to gain some modesty.

Walking towards the bathroom attached to our bedroom, I pulled the shirt tighter around me and stepped onto the cold tile floor.

As soon as I entered the sound of a running faucet and the scent of Scorpius's shampoo surrounded me. I smiled as I saw Scorpius's reflection showering in the mirror and, acting on pure instinct, decided to join him.
I slid his shirt off of me and let it fall once more to the floor before walking over to the shower. I slid the shower door open and slowly stepped in behind Scorpius who hadn't realized I was there. I ran my hands up his back and over his shoulders, "good morning," I said as I wrapped my arms around him.

I felt Scorpius wrap his hands around mine, "good morning, Lily," he said through a slight chuckle.

I smiled, "I missed you."

Scorpius chuckled and turned around to face me, "Lily, I was out of bed for only five minutes," he said smiling down at me.

His hair was wet and stuck to his face everywhere he hadn't pushed back already, his embrace was warm and comforting and something I never wanted to leave. Smiling, I said, "I'm sorry that I slapped you last night."

Scorpius laughed, "well, I sort of deserved it," he responded.

"I'm really, really happy... that you're home." I stated.

Scorpius pushed my hair out of my face, "I'm really, really happy to be home," he said softly.

I hugged him and rested my head against his chest, "just... I just want you to hold me, at least for right now, ok?"

Scorpius's arms wrapped around my waist and held me close to him, "like this?" he asked softly.

I nodded against his chest, "Mhm, exactly like that," I said.

Scorpius leaned his forehead against the top of my head, "can I kiss you, while I hold you?" he asked in a small whisper.

I smiled and turned my head to look up at him, "always,"I whispered back.

Scorpius smiled slightly and turned his attention from my eyes to my lips, "always huh?"

I smirked and bit my bottom lip, "Mhm."

Scorpius smirked, "can I get that in writing?" he asked sarcastically.

I rolled my eyes, "Scor-"

Scorpius pressed his pointer finger against my lips, "shh," he said, "let me kiss you," he whispered before softly pressing his lips against mine. It was one of those kisses that starts out soft, but full of passion that builds up until you spontaneously combust.

I hugged onto Scorpius tighter as if I was afraid he'd stop kissing me if I didn't, "don't stop," I said quickly when I pulled away for air.

Scorpius smiled a bit breathlessly, "Lily, if we don't stop, we'll be late to the burrow," he said as he let go of me and made as much distance possible between us.
