Y/N

The school day felt like it would never end. Luckily it was the last class of the day. It was a Friday and I had planned on spending the night over at Zoe Murphy's house.

We had been best friends since the second grade. And we are still best friends. I'm not the one who would have a lot of friends but Zoe would be considered one of the closest. The person who I was closest to was my friend Evan Hansen.

Evan and I had been friends... well since birth our mothers had been friends when they were younger, so you'd probably expect that's why we were close. You could call us "family friends" but we were more like siblings in a odd way.

There was also Jared... no words could possibly define Jared. He was the special one of the bunch. I remember in the six grade someone had dared him to eat a bath bomb, and by some what of his surprise he did it. Some say he still eats bath bombs to this day but-

The bell had rung. It was time to leave. I grabbed my books and headed out the door. The smell of the hallway reeked B.O. sometimes the middle schoolers would have to pass through the High School hallway.

I opened my locker and set my stuff in and grabbed my book bag and flung it over and put it on. Zoe came running behind me. She had been waiting forever for this sleepover since we hadn't had one in several months and we planned on watching Stranger Things together.

"So are you ready?" She asked me with excitement. "Ya, all I need to do is go back to my place and get my stuff and then it's off to your house." We both smiled. "Okay. I can drive you to your house if you want but I will warn you that I have to take my brother home first." Zoe had already been able to get her license but I hadn't yet well I mean I could but I don't have a car to drive either.

As if on cue Connor had just walked up to Zoe. He said nothing. We walked out of school and walked to Zoe's car which wasn't parked to far out.

{Time Skip}

I grabbed my bag and pillow from my house and I walked back outside to Zoe. Her house actually wasn't to far a drive but I didn't want to carry all my stuff to her house. The Murphy's house was about a five minute walk from here, they just lived down the road.

We pulled up to her house and she helped me with my stuff and she opened the front door. Mrs. Murphy was there to greet us. "Hello girls, how was school?" You know how when a adult talks to you and how they always ask how school was going, I just say okay every single time, cause that's usually how it is.

"School was okay, Mrs. Murphy." I told her. She nodded. "Well if any of you are hungry I made some chicken nuggets for you." She smiled. "Um that's alright, mom. We're gonna go up to my room now." Zoe took my by the hand and lead me to her room.

Zoe opened the door to her room and looked me dead in the eyes. "The chicken nuggets aren't chicken, there fake chicken, she's trying to make everyone go vegan with her." I laughed at this.

I set my stuff up onto the floor. Zoe set up "the fort." When my and Zoe were little we used to make a fort covered in a ton of blankets and she would sometimes "borrow" her dad's laptop and we'd watch movies on it. Now that she had her own laptop she didn't have to worry about getting in trouble.

"The fort." was done. It was covered with a ton of blankets and held up by two chairs and her bed. It was dark and the only light that could actually be considered light was the laptop. She opened up Netflix and put on Stranger Things we had just finished the the third episode of season 2.

"Why did El have to do that, she was so close to Mike!" I yelled. "What about Will! And why did Dustin have to let Dart stay?!" Zoe yelled. We were both upset. Then suddenly we heard a knock on the door. Zoe got up and answered it. "Mom says dinner is ready, she want you and Y/N to come down and eat." It was Connor.

I got up from the fort but before I could go to the door Zoe had closed and went to talk to Connor. Something told me I should listen to them through the door but I know I shouldn't.

It had only been a minute until Zoe walked back in and she had a stern hidden look on her face, I thought about asking what was wrong but I felt like I shouldn't, now wasn't the moment. We walked down stairs for dinner. The smell was fish but it smelled fake. "Vegan fish." Zoe whispered to me. We laughed silently.

Hey so I got the inspiration to do a Connor x Reader story after reading some but I'm gonna try and make this different. I know nothing really important happened in this chapter and I haven't figured out a lot of the plot yet but leave a comment or vote for another chapter.
