It wasn't too hard to sneak out.
Okay, a lie. It was very difficult to sneak out. Chris was guarding the door like a hawk and my dad was passed out right in the kitchen, which was right beside the garage door.
It was not easy! I basically had to ask Chris to go get something for me that I 'couldn't find' to get him away from the vehicles, which was hard because he was insisting on not doing it so he could guard the cars. Then I had to rush and find the keys without my dad or Chris hearing.
It was great.
I wasn't even sure where I was going to look either. So then I had to search through my dad's things to find Mr. Wilkins address so I could drive over there and see if he was there.
Like I said... It was great.
But I did get a car! And so once I did, I spun out of there as fast, and as quietly as possible.
I quickly drove over to Aces house. Once I arrived, it was no shock that it was a huge house, just as mine. I mean his dad was the CEO of a company just like my dad, so it was expected that he would have a lot of money.
I didn't really have a game plan either, so I kind of just walked right up to his front door and knocked. It took me a awhile since there was a a flight of stairs leading up to it. It was a huge house.
Mr. Wilkins answered, dressed in a black silk robe. His hair was a mess, definitely different from the last time I seen him. He had a shocked look on his face when I answered.
"Maddie? What brings you here at this time of night?"
I took a deep breath. "I came to see Ace. Is he here?" I ask. His face dropped, almost in disappointment. He sighs. "No. No he's not."
"Well, do you possibly know where he's at?" Mr. Wilkins stares at me a minute, before sighing and turning his head inside the house. "Honey?! Can you grab me a pen and paper?!" He yells before looking back at me.
"He usually goes to that bastard of a Devil this late at night."
"Oh, Reegan?" I ask. Mr. Wilkins didn't seem happy about him... and he seemed to have a huge thing against the Devils.
"Ugh. Yes him. He knows I hate it but he goes there anyway. And if he's not there, I can almost promise you he's down by the bar getting drunk. He thinks I don't know but I have my ways. If you will, tell him to bring his ass home and stay away from that Devil."
I gulp and nod, just listening to his harsh words. "Yes, sir."
A short lady comes to the door, in her own bathrobe. Hers was cherry red. She looked like she was just as a mess as Mr. Wilkins. But she was really pretty. She had long wavy blonde hair with bright blue eyes. Her facial shape was a small petite looking figure, along with her body. She smiled at me and handed Mr. Wilkins a pen and paper.
"Here's the address," Mr. Wilkins says as he scribbles it down on a paper and hands it to me. I take it and thank him. I turn to walk away before he calls out one last time.
"Oh and Maddie," He calls out. I spin around to look at him.
"Yes Mr. Wilkins?"
His eyes turn cold, exactly like Aces always are. He looks right through me, evilly. "There's no need to mention any of this to your father... And I won't either... okay?" I nodded in obedience. "Y-Yes sir."
Once I get in the car, I quickly drive away. I didn't feel right just then. I had a gut feeling in my stomach... a bad feeling. Aces dad seemed... off. For one, he definitely had absolute hatred for the devils, which is probably one reason Ace didn't want him finding out. But then that lady... She didn't seem like she was even old enough to be Aces mom... So who was she?
