One day, I'm living on the top of the world, in the biggest most expensive house in Beverly Hills. I had everything I wished for. I had money, cars, boys, the best brands of clothes, basically anything and everything I wanted. I didn't even have to lift a finger.

Then... My mom suddenly dies.

Nothing warned me or my father of her death. And as sad as we were... we couldn't help but be angry, knowing that someone purposely murdered her. She was killed in her own home... at the exact moment she was left alone. All three of us usually never left each other alone, we were a close family. But she got sick one night and stayed behind while we went and got her medication...

My dad thought someone may be targeting us for money, so we picked up all of our things and moved to the small queit town of Fairhope. It was a tiny town down in Baldwin county.

I know... very country.

Which kind of scares me, because where I used to live it was not country at all. I lived in a penthouse on the top of an 80 story building. We had the entire floor to ourselves and lived like royalty.

So as I sit here on this plane, about to land, I pray that it will be at least a nice town, filled with many places to go and tons of things to do. I didn't want to give up my past completely. I still love shopping and partying.. But this time... I wanted to change, to make a change. I wanted to be somebody better... for my mom.

I wasn't the best person back in my old home. I only ever cared about myself. I had manners, of course. Any child of business parents were required to have manners, since the parents knew that one day, their kids would take over for them, and having a bad attitude, would not settle well with other corporations and business firms.

But... to my peers... I wasn't always the best. I was a bitch to say the least. I knew I was a spoiled rich chick, and I rubbed it in everyone's face. Which I was not proud of. Espically looking back on it. Which is why I wanted to change. I knew my mom wouldn't be happy about who I was... and I wasn't either. So I was going to make a difference.

I was sure of it.

Sorry, I'm rambling. Allow me to introduce myself.

My name is Madolyn McArthur. Most people just call me Maddie. I'm a 17 year old blonde that lives and thrives off of my dad's money. My dad owns a huge medical business that was passed down to him from his father. It's called "McArthur Medicines" And it's safe to say it's a million dollar company at ease. Which is why I am the way I am, for the most part.

I have long wavy blonde hair and green eyes with lots of brown specs in them. It's a weird eye color, and I get it from my mother... who, again, just passed about a month ago.

And lastly, I was definitely not looking forward to moving... but at the same time I was.

It was a new beginning.

"Attention all passengers, we will be arriving at the Huntsville national airport in approximately 5 minutes, prepare for landing." The lady over the intercom spoke.

I took a deep breath. Me and my dad were moving far away from home, and I wasn't exactly sure how I was going to adapt, but I was determined to do so.

"You ready for this, babygirl?" My dad asks from beside me. I turn to face him, and plaster a smile on my face. "As ready as I'll ever be... I'm just kinda nervous for school." He gives me back his own returning smile.

My dad was a pretty good looking man. Along with my mother, which is probably where I get my looks from. My dad was around 6ft 3in, with broad shoulders, due to the fact he still works out at forty years old. He helped coach football at my old highschool, and is hoping to continue at my new school. He had dirty blonde hair, like mine, that was perfectly straight, so he usually gelled it back for his job.
