Poem #15

Nothing hurts

More than a word

Nothing hurts more

Than breaking

Heart shattering

Pulled under

Lungs crying

Heartbeat fades

Knives glinting

Grab them quickly

She uses them

For life is a canvas

And the only way

A canvas can stand

Are its support

She grabs the knives

Blood spills

Sun sets

The cruelty of night dawns

Crawling towards the road

Bleeding out

She sees a car

And is hit

In a hospital

Hooked to an

IV she knows it's close

Death breathing

On her neck

Chains squeeze her heart

She breathes one last time

Before finally entering

Her escape
