Chapter 7

Lucy's POV

I stood allowing the water to rain on me. It was relaxing to my tense muscles. After I felt that I was clean enough to talk to Hale, Barron, and Lucas, I stepped out of the shower and began getting dressed.

I hadn't had a chance to buy any clothes since I was attacked by a psychopath before entering the store so I had to settle on faded blue jean shorts, but instead of one of Barron's shirts I put on one of Hale's. His were also too big for me but I tied it back.

When we were rescued all I brought with me was the dress I had been wearing whereas Barron had what he had been wearing and any piece of clothing Hale or someone from the pack had given him.

The pack had yet to find out about me because I was human and Hale had yet to announce he had found his mate so I only received boy clothes.

I put on some combat boots and tied my dripping hair into a tight bun on top of my head.

Walking down the stairs into the living room I saw Barron, Lucas, Hale, and four other people I didn't know.

Hale stopped talking midsentence and walked over to where I was. He frowned when he saw my stomach was showing but didn't say anything about it.

"Lucy, this is Macon, Alex, Jacob, and Josh. "

I waved to them and they all bowed their heads. They respectfully whispered "Luna."

"Macon is my third in command," Hale gestured to a tall guy with black hair and black eyes, I had to admit Macon scared me, " Alex is my lead fighter," He gestured to a slightly shorter than Macon guy who looked to be a few years older than me with blue eyes and sandy hair. He looked tough but smiled at me causing all of his features to soften. "Josh is my lead tracker," Josh had hair so blond it looked white with grey eyes. I reached out and we shook hands. Hale frowned before growling. He pulled me closer to his side. "And Jacob, "He said sending a lasting glare at Josh, "is your new guard. He is to follow you around wherever you go but you are not allowed to leave pack territory."

Jacob sent me a warm smile. He had bright green eyes and dark hair. I smiled back.

"We were just about to go to my office. I've got some work to do but we can do something after I am finished." Hale promised. He kissed my head and walked away with Macon, Lucas, Josh, and Alex. I was left with Barron and Jacob.

"So what would you like to do today, Luna?" Jacob asked.

"Just call me Lucy." I really wanted to go to the mall and get the clothes I was unable to get the other day but I wasn't sure Barron or Hale would let me.

"If you don't mind, Luce, I've got a meeting with some rogues. I told Hale I'd ask around and see if they know anything about the guy who attacked you." Barron said. His eyes turned black at the reminder that someone had hurt me.

"No, that's fine. I'll just hang out with Jacob." I smiled.

Barron nodded before leaving. A few seconds after he shut the door I heard hid car start. I waited a couple more seconds before I spun around to face Jacob.
