I missed my mom, more then I missed anything. She was the only one I could talk to.
She listened and I talked. It was the same as Ashley. Ashley listens and I talk. Sometimes it's that same with me. I listen and Ashley talks.
Ashley knew and hugged me tight that night. She made sure that I didn't see my brother. And she made sure that I woke up in time for the bus. She was like my mom, but my girlfriend. She made me smile. She still does.
I saw coach and he asked to talk to me.
"Anna, come here." He sail softly. What he did next was something he never did. He hugged me.
"I'm so sorry to hear about you're mother. The team is here for you."
"Thanks coach." I smiled my fake smile and continued to class. English, the worst subject ever. I hated it, but I was the top of the class.
Next was geometry. My favourite. I loved math. Ever since I was little I've loved manipulating number for my own use. It always excited me. Still, top of my class.
After was PE. This period I had with Ashley. She saw me and pulled me onto a locker and we made out for a few minutes. Then we rushed into class. Coach Downing was our PE teacher, and our sport this time was, none the less, basketball!!!
We had team captains. Ashley was a cheerleader for PE for my team. Since she couldn't play due to a hurt ankle.
She would cheer us on and I laughed. This was the only time I had joy, here in PE, playing basketball.
