A few days have passed now, Josh and I talk once a day typically. Last night he had a show, I haven't heard how it went, but his goodnight text seemed positive.

Skyler and I were headed out to find a dress that I could wear to graduation. My wardrobe is a little too casual for this, and since she's the closest thing I have to a friend, she's getting dragged along.

"What about this?" I hold up a knee length black dress.

"Don't you have enough black clothing? Even navy blue would be a pop of color." I rolled my eyes. I took that dress and two others into the dressing room with me.

First, the black knee length dress. While it looked predictable for me, it complimented my pale skin.

Second, a burgundy form fitting dress that made me feel really skinny. But, it was the most expensive one.

Lastly, a dark purple dress that flared out, Skyler's pick. It looked terrible on the hanger and worse on my body.

"What did you decide?" She asked as I walked out.

"I really like the burgundy one, I just think it's too expensive." I shrugged and hung them up.

"Didn't you say that Josh offered you money?" I looked at her.

"Sky, just cause he offered it doesn't mean that I should take it. I can just get the black one."

"But don't you want the one you like?" She asked me, I shrugged and looked down. She snatched my phone from me and dialed Josh's number.

"Hey Ari!"

"Nope, sorry. But she needs money." I rushed over and yelled.

"No, Josh, it's fine! I don't need anything!"

"She's trying to buy a dress." Skyler interrupts me.

"Yeah, how much does she need?" Skyler walked away as Josh spoke so I couldn't hear the conversation.

I can't buy this dress, not under these circumstances. He's paid for everything since we've met and now that he's gone, I can't have him pay for this, too.

Skyler came back and handed me the phone. "It's for you." She said to me.

"Wow, thanks," I rolled my eyes and took the phone from her. "Josh?"

"Hey! It's good to hear you. So, are you going to send me your PayPal or something?"

I sighed, "No. That's ridiculous. I'll just buy it and it'll be fine. I have the money for it, I'll just be kind of short afterwards."

"Okay, well just let me know, Arianna. I don't want you to miss any bills." I could hear the frown in his voice.

"We're gonna be alright, swear." I told him. We said our goodbyes and hung up.

I smacked Skyler. She rubbed her arm and we walked to pay for the dress. I couldn't help but think about the things Josh was saying. Did he think he was better than me because he made more money? That couldn't be it, maybe he's just worried.

We spent the night just relaxing, it was 3 days before graduation. Skyler has refused to eat dinner with me at all in the last week so I've been ordering take-out.

"What's for dinner?" She asked me while texting on her phone.

I shrugged and tapped on the counter. "You don't ever want to eat with me, so I don't know what you like."

"Shut up, we ate together like yesterday." I shook my head.

"Nope, last time we ate together Josh was here."

She looked up like she was trying to recall the memory, she looked back down and shrugged when nothing came to her.

I was going to explain to her how rude she's been, but a phone call with our parents interrupted us.

"Hi mom!" We said in unison as we answered.

"Arianna? Why can't I see you?"

"Mom, you have to press the camera to see me." A FaceTime notification popped up. In front of us was our parents, looking oblivious at the phone.

"Hey guys!" Skyler said to them.

"We leave tomorrow to come to San Fransisco, we need picked up at the airport."

"Why can't you just Uber here?" Skyler said condescendingly. I glared at her.

"I can come get you, just tell me what time."

"How many tickets do you have? Grammy wants to come."

"No, she's not coming." Skyler and I both insisted.

"Skyler, you love grandma."

"She can't come." I looked at her and back at my parents.

"It's too much walking, it'll kill her quicker." Both of my parents gasped. "I'm serious."

"You need to apologize."

"Why? She didn't hear me. Just let me know when you guys are coming. We gotta go."

"Okay, love you girls!"

"Yep, love you." We hung up and I looked at Skyler.

"Why don't you want grandma to come here?"

"Because, like you said, she'll die." I raised my eyebrows at her and just pushed her weird attitude out of my mind.

Late in the night Josh called to talk to me. He told me we probably wouldn't talk until after graduation. He asked for photos and reassured me that he would visit as soon as they were done playing in Canada.

I guess this is the price I'm going to pay being in a relationship with someone famous and in another country.

I don't know if I can do this.
