Bryant walks between us, holding our hands. I glance over at Owen who is casually walking with a pair of all black sunglasses on. The others linger behind us as we make our way through the crowd. The line to the ferris wheel is fairly short so Owen leads us to it. "I'm thirsty," Bryant says, looking up at his dad.

Owen looks at the moving line. "We'll get a drink after."

"I'm thirsty," Bryant whines.

"For fucks sake," he whispers under his breath.

"I'll get him one while you guys are on the ride," I offer.

"I can," Owen says.

"Spend time with Bryant," I insist. "I'll be right back."

Sighing, he pulls out his wallet and hands me a twenty. "Get us a drink too. One of you go with her."

"I'll go," Dominic offers.

"Me too. I'm hungry," his friend chimes in.

I press a quick kiss to Owen's cheek before heading towards the concession stands. When I realize there is another guest on our trip, I stop abruptly and turn around. The boys run into me but I ignore them as I watch Owen speaking to Mandy. "What the hell, Madison?" Dominic asks. "What are you doing?"

I take my sunglasses off and keep quiet as I watch the two speak. He doesn't show much interest in her words so I take that as a victory and put my sunglasses back on. Turning around, I continue walking. "What the hell was that all about?" Dominic's friend asks.

Dominic catches up to me, walking by my side. "Care to explain?"

"No."

He sighs. "If you can't trust him, then why are you with him?"

"It was a test. He passed. It's over now so drop it."

"And what if he would have shown interest in her... what would you have done?"

I frown, furrowing my eyebrows. What would I have done? Would I have even spoke up for myself? Or would I let him walk on me like other times? When we reach the line for the concession stand, I stop and turn to him. "Look Dominic, I care about you and you're my closest friend but you need to give me some space. I'm deeper in this relationship than I've ever been and at this point, if I get hurt it'll be my fault. I can handle myself. If I feel that things have gotten out of hand, I will take control. But right now, we need to learn more about each other and have some fun," I say. "This trip is supposed to be stress free. I don't want to talk about our relationship or the mafia or anything serious. I just want to relax. So please, let's not talk about those things. At least while we're here."

"Of course," he responds immediately. "I'm sorry."

We get drinks and a few snacks from the concession stand before returning to the ferris wheel. Owen, Bryant and Mandy are already on the ride so I sip on my drink as I wait. When they come back around, Bryant waves at me with a big grin on his face. "Hi, mommy!"

Smiling, I wave back as the ride heads back around. This is the second time he's called me mommy and I don't know how to feel about it. The first time was a shock and I was emotional about it but this time I feel more warmly about it. I am honored to be called that. I just hope Owen doesn't mind because I don't want him being upset with me over it. I would never try to take Bryant's mother's place. He has every right to know about the woman who gave birth to him. That's what makes it so hard but he's too young to understand.

Before I know it, the day is quickly coming to an end. Owen treats us for dinner in a nice restaurant before we head back to the hotel. Bryant is exhausted from all the excitement today so he sleeps in Owen's arms. "I can take him, sir," Mandy says in the elevator.

Owen carefully passes him to her before looking down at me with a grin. "Now it's just us."

I bite my lip, failing at trying to hold back a smile. "Your plan worked."

"My plans aren't finished yet," he says, leaning back against the wall and pulling me against him.

I stand between his parted legs and lay my head against his chest. He tilts my head back, pressing his lips to mine. My body comes to life as I kiss him softly. A moment later, a ping causes me to jump, pulling away from him. He chuckles as the elevator doors open and our friends walk ahead of us. Grabbing my hand, he leads me to our suite where he opens the door. My lips part in surprise when I enter the room. There are candles lit around the room and a path of rose petals leading into the bathroom. "How?" I ask quietly.

"I had it arranged earlier. I was nervous about it."

"Why?" I ask, looking back at him.

"Because I wanted it to be perfect," he shrugs. "I couldn't do it own my own or you would have wondered where I was today."

I begin following the trail of rose petals but he grabs my hand, gently pulling me to the balcony. Sitting outside on the table is two wine glasses along with a bucket holding chilled wine. Releasing my hand, he pours it into the glasses before handing me one. The sun is setting over the water and we have the perfect view of it. We stand in silence, watching and sipping on our drinks as the light dissipates into darkness. This night couldn't get any better.

Taking my wine glass, Owen leaves them on the table before returning to the trail of rose petals. He geatures for me to take the lead and I follow the trail through the bedroom and into the bathroom. The large bath tub is filled and steaming with a delicious scent filling the room. I begin undressing, glancing over my shoulder at Owen. "Come on."

He begins undressing just as I finish. I step into the warm water and slowly sink into it. The warmth soothes my muscles and I close my eyes as he steps in behind me. Once he is sitting, I lean back against his chest and tilt my head back to look at him. "This is incredible. Thank you for everything."

He smiles a little. "You're welcome. You deserve it."

I place my hands on the tops of his thighs and turn my head forward. "I have an appointment to find a dress when we get back," I say.

He's quiet for a long moment. "About that... My mother requested that she go with you."

I frown. "Why?"

I feel him shrug behind me. "I don't know. You guys don't really know each other so it will so it'll give you some time to talk."

She's the last person I'd ever want to get to know but I don't bother telling him that. Instead, I change the subject. "Can I ask you something?" I ask softly.

He kisses my shoulder. "Of course."

"I just don't want you to get mad at me for asking."

He sighs. "What is it?"

"Who was that woman in your office the other day?"

He is quiet for a long moment. "She's just another woman. She's supposed to be at the other house so I don't know why she was even there."

His hands move to my chest, cupping my breast as his thumbs rub against my nipples. I know he does it to distract me so I allow it since I don't want to ruin the mood. "What are our plans?" I ask, attempting to ignore his hands on me.

"Well... after we've finished in here, I'm going to take you to bed."

I smile. "And what are you going to do to me there?"

"Fuck you," he says, biting my earlobe.
