I wanted to talk to Cassie alone, but I never got the chance too. She seemed be avoiding me for some reason. My she thought that I thought that she was a freak. We all said our goodbyes after dinner and clean up. I sat back on the couch and removed the bandages.

“How is the arm?” Davian asked me.

“Its sore, but other wise fine.” I told him, moving my arm around.

“Be good as new in the morning.” He told me patting my bad shoulder. There was a sharp pain, but it went away quickly.

“What do you make about the images we saw?” I asked him.

“Well it is defiantly us.” He told me.

“What did we do? And why did you have black wings when you fell? And I had white?”

“I don’t know.” He said shaking his head. It was all so confusing. “You should get some rest.” I nodded my head. We weren’t going to school tomorrow, it will be a nice break, and since everyone knows I was attacked by an animal and my shoulder is messed up, what was the point of going. I headed back to my room, and laid down. My eyes felt heavy, I felt myself drifting to sleep.

“Cassie, please I’m the same person you meet the first day here.” I was begging her, she has finally seen the real me. I stood there before her with my wings out stretched.

“No your not. You lied to me.” She was crying, I felt my heart break.

“Please don’t leave me.” I begged. I wrapped my arms around her, holding her close to me.

“Ebony.” She whispered, I kissed her, she was shocked at first then kissed me back. I felt her hands trail up my back and touch where the wings came out at. “What are you?” She asked against my lips.

“I’m a fallen angel.”

“Why are you fallen?” She asked me.

“I don’t know.” I told her leaning my forehead against hers, her hands were still touching my wings. “Cassie I love you.”

“I have to go.” She looked away from me.

“Please don’t go.” My voice was full of hurt.

I woke up my heart was racing and sweat coated my body. My breathing was heavy, I checked the time, it was only midnight. After about five minutes my heart rate slowed to almost normal, and my breathing went back to normal. I headed into the living room. I didn’t want to go back to sleep just yet. I can’t even go talk to Cassie. Davian was in the kitchen. I headed over to the fridge and grabbed out a beer.

“Have a nightmare?” Davian asked me, when I sat down across from him at the table.

“You could say that.” I muttered taking a drink.

“I heard you telling Cassie not to go.” Davian said.

“Yeah.” I told him, I rubbed a hand over my face.

“So you going to tell me what it was all about?” Davian asked.

“Why do you care?” I go to take another drink of my beer and its empty. Great, I got up to go get another one.

“Because I’m your brother.” He told me.

“Fine. In my dream, Cassie saw what I was.” I told him opening up another beer.
