Davian’s POV
Six months later…
Ebony has been in a “coma” for too long. It has been almost six months since the fighting had ended and not once had he woken up or showed any signs of waking up. I fear that he will never wake up. Vanessa, hardly left his side for the first week after the battle, poor little Ryker had to grew so much, and his father was missing it. I kind of had to take over as a temp-father.
Vanessa now moves about the castle; yes we are living in the werewolf castle. The doctors didn’t want to move Ebony. His wounds are almost all the way healed. And his heart rate is almost back to normal. We thought that he died a couple times, but I believe Ebony is in there fighting to wake up. Anyways Vanessa, hardly eats, we have to make her most of the time. And she walks around with an empty hallowed look about her. I hear her cry most nights.
Ryker is able to walk and talk some, even for a six months old. He has grown faster then a normal werewolf, which was to be expected. He even understands what is happening with his father. He goes in there and talks to his dad, when he is angry, sad or scared. He mainly wishes for him to wake up. It breaks my heart to see it. I remember the day that I first saw Ryker in here.

“Daddy? Daddy, why wont you wake up? I’m scared. Mom doesn’t act the same anymore.” Ryker said to his father, he was four months at the time. “Daddy, answer me.” I stood out side the room, listening to his soft cries, he hardly knew his father, yet he missed him dearly. I headed into the room to comfort the kid.
“Ryker.” My voice was soft and calming. He just looked up at me and ran out of the room with tears in his eyes. I looked to Ebony, his face looked to be in pain almost, but it faded, like I was seeing things. That was the day that had the most improvement on his health.

I hope that he will wake up soon, his son is starting to act like his mother, and I can’t have that. His body is still so young. He shouldn’t be going through this. I should have never let him fight. He had a son and a mate. I’ve beaten myself up about that night, Tessa would always tell me not to worry, it wasn’t my fault. Ebony needed to be there. Still didn’t make me feel any better.
“Uncle Davian.” Ryker came down the hallway.
“What is it?” I swooped the kid up into my arms, this was the happiest I’ve seen him in a long time.
“Its about daddy. Come the doctors want you!” The yelled excitement clear in his voice. Putting the kid on my back, I ran down the hallway to get to his room.
His door was partly open, setting the kid on the ground, he took off running down the hall, probably to go find his mother. Pushing the door completely open, the doctors were standing around his bed. I didn’t know what they were doing, I headed up to them. Waiting for one of them to speak to me.
