Simon

I can't hide my love for Elio anymore. I have to tell everyone. I kinda have everyone's basic reactions down to a science. My family are going to be happy for me. My dad is most likely going to make a sex joke and my mom is just going to support me like any normal mom.

My friends are just as predictable. Leah is going to be happy for me but in a calm way. Abby is going to lose her mind like she does whenever I talk about boys or do anything in relation to boys. Nick is just going to be cool about it. He won't lose his mind or make any dirty joke and I wish everyone else can react that way. But it's just not going to work like that.

The next day, I woke up smiling. Mainly because next to me, Elio is still sleeping. I got up to go downstairs. I go to the living room. The only one up was my mom. She is sitting on the couch, on her phone.

"Hey, sweetie." she says to me.

"Hey, mom." I say. I sit down next to her.

"Is Elio still sleeping?" she asks.

"Yeah." I say. "Speaking of him, mom I need to tell you something." I say.

    "Okay. What's up?" she asks.

"Elio and I... are dating." I say.

"Oh, that's great honey." she says. "I kinda expected that you guys will end up together."

I am shocked for some reason. "Really?" I ask.

"Yeah. You always ask him to come over. Everytime the doorbell rings, you start to get weirdly excited and rush to the door. You talk about how Elio is so smart and kind. One time you said that he is adorable." she says.

    I start blushing. "Oh."

"It's so cute how you react to him." her smile grows larger. "I think that he's the one for you."

"Thanks, mom." I say. As I say that, I turn around to see my dad. He looks like he couldn't get any sleep last night.

"Morning." he says. He goes to the kitchen to make his coffee.

"Honey, guess what?" Mom asks.

"Oh god! Please don't tell me you're having another child!" he says.

"No! This isn't even about me." she says. She turns to me. "Simon and Elio are now dating."

"That's great! Congrats, Simon." he says to me. He walks over to the couch and sits down next to me. "Now I don't want you to lose your virginity to this boy."

I roll my eyes. "I won't Dad, I promise." I knew that was coming.

"I'm going upstairs." I say.

"Simon, I'm being serious about what I said!" he says.

"Dad, I won't do that!" I yell back as I go upstairs.

As I walk in my room, I see Elio still asleep. I honestly still think that he is an angel that God sent specifically for me. I think there is a halo beaming off of him. I don't understand how or why he is just so perfect.

I sit on the other side of the bed. I want to wake him up so bad but I don't. I instead decide to kiss him on the forehead. I love him so much that it's really hard to explain.

Elio eventually wakes up. He looks up at me with his blue eyes and he smiles.

"Good morning, angel." I say.

"Good morning." he says back.

"I told my parents that we are together." I say.

"Okay." he says. "Doesn't that mean we have to tell Leah, Abby, and Nick?" he asks.
