I always knew girls were better drivers. Maybe not everyone, there was no way I could match Janne's skills in driving bikes, yet I wasn't that bad when it came to cars. At least I could drive a mile or so without a making a single mistake.
Girls cannot drive is a myth, let me tell you.
Janne drove the bike like she was a born driver. She had speed, she had grace as she drove it like driving bike was a child's play. And I was sure if I didn't go by her advice to hold her tight I would have fallen somewhere like trash in the middle of the road.
We reached a building, till that time it stated raining heavily, which was something worth calling a house for someone like me who was getting used to seeing all those trash dingy places Jon loved to stop for a break or to drop bags full of drugs/cash. It wasn't a mansion but it was decent enough to throw a huge party a tad bit smaller from the place I was bought up at.
"Is this your place?"
"Yes, Diana. Feel free to call it your home till the time you are here though, I doubt if Jon would let you stay here long enough. He doesn't really like staying at one place." She removed her helmet and I handed her mine.
"Does he have a home?"
"Jon?" She snorted as she looked at me "Jon has his highway as home; he has a few apartments, a few more in different countries. None to live. I don't even know what he does with them."
Her voice sounded sad like being her sister she missed a lot of him, I didn't blame her. Jon was way too much shut in his own world. He had very few entry gates in his high walls and there was no way he allowed anyone in easily.
We entered in not before the rain drenched up and she got diverted by a phone call. Ignoring the call, she asked me to follow her. On asking to where she was taking me, she replied, still looking at her phone, as 'my' room.
"It's your now." With a small smile she added and stuffed her phone in her back pocket.
"But you just said, I won't be staying here for long, right?"
Stuffing her hands in her cargo trousers' pockets, she shrugged "Yeah, in case you feel like running away from my brother you can always come to me." She took a step closer to me and I didn't feel like stepping back, because the step wasn't threatening in any way it was much more friendly and welcoming. The corner of her lip lifter "This room now belongs to you; it used to be mine then umm... I changed it since then it has been empty. Besides, I have a feeling I can approve of you for my brother."
My eyes widened.
There was a sound of cutting the engine off and both our gaze turned towards the door. Quickly, she directed me the way and I removed the jacket to give it back to her.
"That must be Julian. I will catch you later." She started walking towards the door not looking at me. "Oh, and feel free to claim the wardrobe there are some clothes in there which might fit you, you seem to need some." She eyed my wet self awkwardly over her shoulder, the shirt clinging to my body, I nodded.
I yelled thanks to her and in return she gave me a peace sign.
The room was normal size just like my old one. The walls were painted cream and the furniture was minimal, a queen size bed, a mirror, a wardrobe, a door for washroom and a huge window. Almost similar to my room just minus the trash I kept as my belongings on the floor spread around everywhere. I spotted myself in the mirror as I surveyed the room. I gasped, half naked was an understatement. Now that I was drenched, my wet hair clung to my skin, my nipples were on full display, and the shirt clung to my skin like it was a part of it. My ass seemed bigger, hmm.. Thankfully only Janne saw me after we reached and not Julian or the other men. Didn't help with the embarrassment though.
