A Surprise

Shoto knew that his mobile phone dying, without any indications that it could happen, was a bad omen. However, he hasn't had the slightest idea what would happen.

When Iida started a discussion about one of the less known heroes and Momo joined in, he never thought he would be the one volunteering insight into the subject and consequently data gathering.

So, he was left with a job to investigate that hero and later join the others to discuss his findings. The problem arose with the realization that his phone is dead. A dead phone equals no internet search for him (also, he left the laptop at home since he thought the phone was enough), he would need to gather info without it, and the best and fastest way would be to ask Midoriya to give him some of the magazines he hoards in his room.

Well...the easiest way would be to ask someone else to use their phone or anything where he can browse through the internet, but then that person would try to help. Shoto wanted to do this by himself and Midoriya won't pester him with unwanted help offers if he tells him he wants to do it alone. Therefore, he was walking down the corridor of their dorm towards Midoriya's room when he heard a familiar voice calling after him.

"Todoroki!" Shoto turned to look at Kirishima on the other side of the hallway from where he came.

"Have you seen Bakugou?" the usually good-natured red-haired teen seemed slightly nervous. Did he anger Bakugou? Shoto wondered.

"No. Do you have need of him? I can mention you are looking for him if I see him." Shoto offered politely becoming impatient because of interruption. That wasn't very hero-like behavior so he squelched impatience before it became obvious.

"Nah, I just wanted to ask him something. It can wait." Kirishima answered, but still had a weird look on his face.

Shoto frowned. "Is something wrong?" Kirishima's face was pinched with worry making it look like he was constipated.

"Well, I saw Bakugou earlier, and called to him, but he didn't answer. And I think he wasn't ignoring me."

"So, you think something is wrong with him?" Shoto frowned once again. Bakugou might be an arse most of the time, but Kirishima was a good guy and a rather good friend, it was obvious he would worry if he thought something was wrong.

"No. Not like that." A slight smile found itself on Kirishima's face, and then he got more serious. "It's just that I saw him here, then I heard him knocking on the door and yelling something. And he didn't come back."

"If something happened there would be a commotion. And well... his explosions aren't the most silent thing around so if he did something, it couldn't be that bad." Shoto wondered why he was standing there offering consolation when he should be going.

"About that..." Eijiro paused for a moment there, trying to find a way to explain this to Todoroki without him panicking or something. "I think that the only person he would be coming to see in this hallway is Midoriya."

Shoto's eyes widened in realization. Oh shit!

Eijiro hoped Todoroki wouldn't react explosively even though his friend might have been in danger from his own friend. No matter how chances were slight for it, Eijiro didn't want to rule out a possibility that Bakugou just came to ask Midoriya something. Eijiro, don't lie to yourself... he mentally sighed because the reason told him that was actually stupid to think.

While Kirishima had his dilemma, Shoto had his own: to run or not. Midoriya might already be in danger, but as far as he knew, that guy could also hold his own. The evidence indicated nothing major happened, otherwise everyone would have heard about it by now.
