"Are you two having a lover's spat?"
Ashido Mina has never had a brain-to-mouth filter, though many of her friends and acquaintances strongly suggested installing one to avoid awkward situations...or dangerous situations - like one happening right at this moment.
The sound of explosions filled the common room, smell of ash strong in the air. Bakugou was seething, hands prepared to destroy, his face twisted into an ugly sneer while angry pants left his lungs.
Everyone present knew it was just a matter of time before he snapped. They knew just one person equipped to deal with this - short of destroying their dorm in attempt to get him in control – and that was Kirishima, his quirk coming in handy in these circumstances, an already established way to deal with Bakugou's explosiveness.
The only problem at hand included the fact that Kirishima was nowhere to be found.
"God gracious, you two really need to work on your relationship," Ashido said after a moment or so, totally oblivious to her impending doom in form of an angry ash-blonde teenager.
Besides Bakugou, the other person she spoke about was Midoriya. She was addressing the lack of interaction between the two boys. And while Bakugou looked like he would kill her for that comment, Midoriya's face glowed red while he shuffled his feet. Oh, he remembered what transpired a few days ago, and the question hit the mark so close he was left speechless.
He tried to find some words, but it was all in vain, so he kept standing there, blushing and watching the scene unfold in front of him.
It was Uraraka who saved the day, or in this case, Ashido's life.
"Stop it, you're embarrassing Deku. Don't you have any tact?" At that Ashido turned to look at Midoriya and gasped.
"Oh, shit. Sorry, I didn't mean to make you feel bad."
When she took her eyes from Bakugou, he reacted, not realizing he was feeling jealous she would apologize to Midoriya but not to him.
"Bitch! You can't just blurt something annoying like that and expect me to just get over it. You're so dead!" He stepped closer like he would attack, however, a hand grabbing his shoulder in a strong grip stopped him.
Bakugou turned to glare at whichever idiot was stupid enough to try and stop him and saw Kirishima having a questioning expression on his face.
"What's going on?" Kirishima asked no one in particular, realizing someone goaded Bakugou into a hissy fit.
"N-Nothing! There were some comments which aren't true and Kacchan got angry. That's all." Midoriya supplied, trying to stop before this situation blew out of all proportion. Though the explanation was meant for Bakugou. A possibility he would understand, and astonishingly he did. He dropped the threatening stance, snorted loudly and turned to the stairway.
He looked back over his shoulder and said, "Keep out of my way, you maggots!"
Before disappearing up the stairs, he sent a look to Midoriya which he couldn't decipher.
What was that about? Did he understand that less ruckus about things said, less chance someone would catch on?
Aaah, they are all looking at me.
Midoriya blushed once again for being the center of attention before he could escape the gossiping vultures.
***
After both Midoriya and Bakugou departed from the common room, Kirishima exhaled. A crisis defused. However, he eyed Ashido bearing in mind she could really know. And then he needed to know if she knew.
