In those few days, Midoriya and Bakugou hadn't spoken. Others didn't realize it, however, Eijirou knew - he knew why two of his classmates had been avoiding each other. Eijirou thought they should just work out whatever it was between them, but he shouldn't be one to preach considering his and Kaminari's lack of chitchat.
Kaminari hadn't been avoiding him per se, though he has been a bit even-tempered towards Eijirou ever since their 'talk'.
Ashido never mentioned anything about Bakugou or Midoriya, nor the kiss, so Eijirou concluded that Kaminari, with all his idiotic notion of gossiping, decided to keep those things to himself. That should, of course, be considered a good thing, but... Eijirou missed his friend's bubbling remarks and crazy ideas. The reality where Kaminari didn't enthusiastically share his opinions with him didn't sit well with Eijirou.
So, after extensive thinking and weighing his options, Eijirou decided to confront him. That was the reason why he was standing in front of Kaminari's room waiting for him.
Kaminari entered the hallway, a spring in his step decreasing as he drew nearer to the redhead leaning to the wall accompanied by a grimace entering his face. Eijirou didn't like that look on his friend's face, but he'll take it.
"We got to talk."
Kaminari stared for a few seconds, face blank, and then just said, "Sure."
He passed Eijirou and entered the room not waiting for the other boy to follow him.
This was not the first time Eijirou came over – he certainly visited a few times to play games and to study – but it was the first time he was slightly apprehensive to enter. He might have reacted impulsively back then, that kiss stomped right over an invisible line of friendship.
A table in the center of the room had textbooks and notebooks all over it, Kaminari probably studied before he left or, knowing him, didn't even try to neaten after finishing using the books.
Interestingly, Eijirou liked the furnishing even if it was totally different from what he had in his own room - though he considered the drapes a bit excessive with those stripes, but every man to his taste.
Kaminari sat on the bed, near the table, looking at everything except his friend, staring at the shelves filled with everything and anything, then shifting his eyes to the table, then at the floor and so on. He is acting shy, Eijirou observed, keeping quiet, did I really cross the line to the point there's no way back? Shit.
He decided to approach this carefully, slowly trotting to the low table and sitting on the floor between the bed and table – a carpet which Kaminari brought with him into dorms was pretty soft, Eijirou enjoyed sitting on it more than on the bed. He was silent for a minute or so, not really sure what to say.
All the while, Kaminari fidgeted on the spot, crossing his legs and uncrossing them like he couldn't find a comfortable position, and then in almost boneless manner slithered to the floor which reduced the distance between the two boys. He exhaled loudly, his back against the side of the bed.
Eijirou knew he had to make it right, Kaminari was acting too weird. But he was too, he should be manly about this...yes, when in doubt, act manly!
"Hey! Get a hold of yourself!" the command in Kirishima's voice made Kaminari jump a bit, head turning to the other boy fast.
Finally, he looked at me, not through me. Eijirou was happy to see his idea was fruitful.
"Geez, man. You scared me with that shit," Kaminari said after a moment.
Was he talking about back then? Eijirou didn't know so he decided to ask.
"What do you mean?"
