i wake up at 7:05am on lydia's bed. i look over to my bed and zion is on it. i did tell him that he was going to be on my bed and i was going to be on lydia's just so she wouldn't get mad about another person on her "property". that is actually sweet, he separated me from him and remembered what i said. i walk over to him and stare at his face. even in sleep he looks attractive. i walk over back to lydia's bed and i lay down to go back to sleep, considering it is still pretty early and i do not have a class today.

i wake up, this time to the smell of coffee and a gentle voice whispering in my ear, "wake up ana." i slowly start to open my eyes and i smile to the sight of zion. "good morning," he says softly.

"morning." i am so hooked on how smoothly zion woke me up, that i cannot stop smiling.

i quickly snap out of it, "what time is it?" i ask.

"it's almost ten."

"oh, what the heck? what are you still doing here?"

"i didn't want to leave you, it would make me seem like a douche bag. by the way, we didn't sleep together. that's why you're on lydia's bed. see i told you i wouldn't make a move on you."

"i can see, thank you for respecting me."

"no problem. well i should get going now, before lydia comes back."

"good idea."

"last night was really fun, maybe i can join you every tuesday night," he suggests.

"um, maybe..."

"bye," he says, walking towards the door. i say it back.

i follow him out, so i can close it once he steps out. he steps one foot out the door and turns around, "you're a really cute sleeper by the way."

"uh thank you?" i hesitate. i close the door and a bigger smile forms on my face.

an hour passes by, and lydia finally shows up. thankfully she shows up with donuts. i tell her all about what happened last night, and she is beyond happy. i am finally talking to a guy that i am actually interested in.

...

a few days pass by, it is now friday. zion and i have been talking to each other for the other days that we do not see each other. we have been talking over factime and we have been texting. and i must say, i really enjoy talking to him. however, today i will be seeing him. we have psychology together on monday's tuesday's and friday's.

i get out my of my dorm room. i take the elevator to get down and i walk towards the dorm building's exit. to my surprise, zion is at the door.

"hey." he says.

"hi, are you waiting for somebody?" i ask, completely clueless.

"yes and she's standing right in front of me."

"oh... OH aw, that is so nice." damn i sound stupid.

we walk to our classroom and his friend, edwin joins just while we walk.

"hey, i'm edwin," he introduces himself.

"i'm ana. so what do you major in?" i ask.

"english. i love to write poetry. i know it doesn't look like to write, but don't let my looks do all the judging."

"okay." i giggle.

"well, i am going to assume that you are a junior as well," i say.

"yup, zion and i met our freshman year of college."

edwin and i continue to talk, now zion is third wheeling. edwin seems like a really cool guy, he is decent. the one thing i don't like about him is that is dating tiffany, victoria scott's best friend. i have never really talked to tiffany and we have had a few interactions, but i can't really judge her. but if you hang out with victoria, it means your superior. hopefully zion does not associate with victoria, that would be a turn off. besides that, i his personality. we exchange numbers, i am pretty happy that i got to meet two new people this year.

"have you been to a college party yet?" edwin asks.

"no... but i am trying to this year."

"oh! well i will hook you up with details if i find out of any."

"okay, great."

we drop edwin off at this classroom, which is really close to our classroom, and zion and i walk to ours. zion and i walk over to our seats and we sit down.

"are you really going to go to those parties?" zion asks.

"yes, of course. i need to experience college properly."

"well, if you do end up going, tell me, so you don't make the wrong moves. or bring lydia and nick with you."

"thanks for the concern, but i am not that clueless zion."

"sorry, i just want you to be safe."

"aw thank you. but, yea i will tell you. i would never go to a party by myself."

professor davis walks in, as always we have a lecture on the human brain. it is getting pretty old now, even though we have only been in this class for three days. i really want to have class arguments now. luckily, we are starting on monday, according to him. the class ends and i am relieved that i get to finally fully relax over the weekend, even though things right now are going pretty smoothly. zion and i walk out the classroom together, i have a feeling that this going to be a daily thing. but i am more than okay with it.

"are you going to do anything after this?" zion asks.

"haha no, i plan to stay in my room and do nothing."

"oh um, well do you want to go out and eat with me?"

"that would be nice."

"okay, a date it is!" he exclaims. i blush and laugh.

outside of the hallway door, i see austin standing outside. oh wait today is friday. it's "double a friday". this is where austin and i go to a really amazing ice cream place outside of campus... but i just told zion i would go with him. oh well, friends before anything. it's my rule, a very sacred rule. before we got to austin i quickly tell zion that i can't go, with no questions asked. he seems pretty upset about it, but he tells me it is okay.

we reach the door and austin immediately greets me.

"ready to go?" austin asks, not acknowledging zion.

"of course, ice cream with my broskie," i say.

"oh, so you're ditching me for another guy. i see how it is." zion glares at austin.

"um, it's a thing we do. austin is literally like a brother to me, he has a girlfriend. well uh, austin this is zion and zion this is austin," i say.

austin reaches his hand out to shake zion's, "nice to meet you zion."

"nice to meet you austin."

"well bye zion, we're going to leave before it starts getting really dark," i say.

"alright, i'll see you over factime tonight?" he asks.

"it depends," i say, while austin and i walk away.
