"well, she's a really lucky girl, kookie." you said with a slightly pained smile. you were good at some things, but smiling through the pain wasn't one of them.

jungkook looked at you worriedly, just as you worried for him when he called you earlier that day.

"are you okay, y/n?" he said with genuine softness that made you want to melt right then and there.

"i'm not! i'm just so happy for you. it's hard to see you grow up so quick that you can finally talk to girls other than me and your mom." you said with a sly smile. jungkook crossed his arms with a pout.

"hey! i'm older than you by a couple months. and, i still don't have the guts to talk to any other girl except you and my mom." he said. you gave him a confused look.

"what? but you said that the special person-" jungkook sat bolt upright.

jungkook laughed before walking out, shutting the door behind him.

"why did i give him a spare key to my dorm?" you wondered aloud, flopping onto your couch. you wanted any useless thought to ponder on just so you could ignore the fact that your heart was slowly breaking.
