"so, y/n, i've known you before bangtan even debuted and you've never drinken coffee. i've never asked you why, but now i'm really curious. consider it early morning thoughts." jungkook said as he gingerly sipped his caffeinated drink. 

you shrugged as you cupped your mug, the refreshing aroma of herbs invading your sinuses.

"i don't like the taste of it. its bitter, smelly and it just doesn't sit well in my tummy." you responded, sighing a bit.

jungkook laughed as he sipped his coffee dramatically with a relieved sigh. you rolled your eyes and hid your smile at the sight.

"uh, y/n? its 5:48." jungkook suddenly said, eyeing his watch.

"oh, shoot. i gotta go, kookie. you can put your...surprise, wherever. i'll be back around 10." you said, grabbing your bags as you went, ignoring the small jabs your heart was taking when you mentioned the surprise for the special girl. 

had jung kook actually met the perfect girl for him right under your nose? and you had thought you both had a tight knit relationship.

jungkook watched you walk out the door, his coffee seemingly less refreshing as it was before when you were sitting beside him.

"ah, there's our y/n!" your members cheered, sitting on the couch in the recording room.

"don't we already have the song? why're we here-" you were cut off when you noticed your manager fuming.

"the stupid person handling the recordings deleted the last thirty seconds of the song! i can't believe pd nim lets such idiots float around here." he said angrily.

"oh." you responded, sitting down.

"now, y/n, it was cut off at your part. get in there and do your best so you guys can learn the choreo today. this choreographer is very busy and can't reschedule so we need this done now." your manager said, shooing you into the soundproof room.

today was going to be a long day.
