jungkook smiled softly, hoping you would take his hint that you were the special girl. he felt butterflies arise in his stomach when he thought of it.
after five years, he was going to stop being a wuss and finally going to ask you out.
he knew he loved you, but he thought that would move the relationship too fast, and he was worried you'd reject him.
he was unsure of whether or not you even liked him back in a romantic way.
he would often whisper compliments he didn't really mean at award shows towards actresses and other idols to provoke some jealous action from you to see if you cared, but you would always ignore or shush him, making him think you weren't interested at all.
when bang pd nim pair the both of you up for a duet back when you were trainee's, jungkook knew that you were different.
he had loved the softness of your touch as he spun you around or the silkiness of your voice when you sang. it made him feel butterflies, also knowing that he felt so comfortable around such a beautiful girl without stuttering his words and feeling uneasy made him feel more confident around you.
he applauded himself when you two had become the bestest of friends.
he thought of the time you had a panic attack before you went on stage for the first time at an awards show and your members had come running over to him, explaining how you were muttering his name.
he had sprinted right after being on stage and had helped you clear your head, talking about the time you had both snuck out of your dorms to take a walk without having paparazzi flanking you both; he spoke about the time you both had a prank war and everyone was scared, and he spoke of his admiration for you.
when you had finally gotten up, ten minutes before you had to perform, jungkook had given you a huge hug until you finally had to go on stage. he had loved the way you gave him those bright smiles, only reserved for him.
he knew you had the type of smile that made everyone's hearts flutter.
he definitely knew he loved you then.
