Jade's pov
"Ready to go home?" Calum said on our way to his car after school.
"Yeah" I sighed. I didn't feel like going home but I wasn't gonna bother him.
"Are you sure?" he looked worried.
"Mhm" i nodded and avoided eye contact. I guess Calum shrugged it off cause he kept quiet and drove away from school. I looked out the window and let my thoughts take over. My depression just hit me today, it was one of those days. All I wanted was to sit in a corner and cry until I faded away.
"Jade?" I felt Calum poking me which made me look at him.
"What?"
"We're here. You didn't hear me the first 3 times?" He said, still with a worried expression.
"Sorry I'm just tired" I lied. I stepped out and realized I wasn't home.
"This isn't my place" I said but it came out like a question.
"No it's mine. C'mon" he walked past me, unlocked the front door and waited for me to come. Before I could overthink it I walked inside. Calum led me to the kitchen and sat down, I did the same.
"What do you want to eat?" He asked opening the fridge.
"I'm not really hungry. Thanks though" I said not thinking about it.
"I wasn't asking if you were hungry, Reed. I was asking what. I haven't known you for that long but I know you probably haven't eaten much today." He sounded stern but I knew he only cared about me.
"I'll have a toast then. But don't expect me to eat all of it."
"That sounds better" smiling he made us both toasts and put the plate in front of me when it was done.
"Thanks Calum. Or should I say C-Dizzle Swizzle?" I joked referring to this morning.
"I prefer C-Dizzle Swizzle" he laughed.
"Or cool guy Cal" he added.
"Sure thing Hood"
We ate in silence, never looking by up from our plates. I ate half of my toast and he looked a little sad but gave me a smile telling me that he was still happy I ate something. After finishing his he took mine and ate it in a few seconds which made me chuckle.
Right when he stood up to take away our plates we heard the front door open and in came none other than Michael Clifford.
"Dude I'm so gonna murder him if he mentions us.." Calum dropped the plates in the sink and ran to Michael to grab his arm. "Not here" Calum said in a dark voice and dragged him to another room. I heard their voices but I couldn't hear what they were saying.
Now my mind was going crazy. Michael is in the same house as me, as in the bully Michael is in the same house as me. And who would mention them? Have they done anything? Could this be about Luke being arrested?"
My thoughts were interrupted by Calum coming back and finishing the dishes. Michael walked in after him and leaned against the fridge.
"So, Erica isn't it?" He asked.
"Jade" I said quietly, wanting to disappear.
"Jadeee, oh right you're the nerd from school!" He happily said once he figured it out.
"Michael" Calum warned.
"What? I'm just surprised you would fuck her out o-" Calum cut him off by slamming him against the wall and putting his hands around his neck. Michael's face soon turned red from not being able to breathe.
"Calum! Stop!" I ran over to him and panicked.
"Don't....ever...say....that....again" he said slowly so he would take the message.
"Calum!" I screamed again and he let go. Michael fell to the floor and coughed. Once he could breathe normal again he put his hands up in surrender and stood up.
"Im sorry dude" Michael said and backed towards the door.
"Just get out! Come back when you're sober with a better personality" he said in a dark voice, which was kinda hot, and Michael hurried out the door. Once he was gone Calum turned to me
"I'm sorry" he whispered.
I didn't know what to say so I just stood there and stared at his beautiful eyes.
"Do you wanna stay? Like over the night?" He scratched the back of his neck.
"Um no Calum-"
"No no no! I didn't mean it like that. I'm not after sex I promise. I just noticed you didn't seem too happy to go home" he said.
"Are you sure?" I asked.
"Yes. Please stay" he said looking more like a puppy than ever.
"Okay" I said and smiled.
"Great! You can take my room, I'll sleep on the couch!"
