Chapter 9: So Long

As Rob sits there on the ground Jared just stares at him. "What the fuck are you looking at?" Rob says Jared shakes his head and tosses Rob a black box with a button on the side. Rob presses the button and the box turns into a full size bow and a quiver full of arrows "thanks but no thanks" Rob says pushing the button again and tossing it back to Jared "What the fuck man you know how hard I worked on this shit." Jared snaps "Jean's, Daniel help me up. take me back to my cell" Rob says "umm... what" Jeans asks "You heard me" Rob says laughing at the ridiculous request, yes he knew how it sounded going back to the cell where he was held captive for a year, but he had to grab something. Rob now hanging on to the cell doors tells Jean's and Daniel "Alright I need you two to move my bed." they did as commanded and found a little white box "What the hell is this?" Jean's asks handing the box to Rob. Rob opens the box and there seemed to be some type of dog whistle inside. Rob pulled the whistle out and blew it, within thirty seconds a german shepherd came running out of the shadows carrying a bag full of supplies. The dog stopped in front of Rob and dropped the bag it was his supplies and gear, bow,arrows and medical supplies. Rob picks it up and prepares for their escape. "lets go" Rob says "You'll never make it out alive" Deathstroke says barely audible. Rob just looks at Deathstroke, then Daniel kicks him in the ribs so hard that you could hear a rib crack. Than suddenly there was a huge explosion heard from the entryway of the prison. "Its to late, my own reinforcements have nearly arrived" Deathstroke said as Rob, Daniel, Jean's and Rob's dog tried to get to their friends fast.

Mercenaries and ninjas were flooding in the front door, in a matter of minute there were hundreds of them. "Damnit Rob, why do you keep getting kidnapped and beat up. Well anyways lets have some fun. GUYS! protect Rob" with that Jared ran with lightning speeds down the hall striking the enemies back and forth leading them outside in the open area . "Adrianna! GET OUT HERE, START SHOOTING THEM UP" She jumped out of a group of mercenaries knocking them down, the holsters for her magnums opened up from the sides of her legs, she grabbed them jumped in the air and headshot six enemies, then reloaded by tossing the ammo into the air and slammed the bullets perfectly into their slots. Jeans got in his car and came driving up next to his girlfriend "BABE GIVE ME A STICKY BOMB!!!" Jean's yelled with an adrenaline rush. Adrianna tossed him a bomb as he drifted around her and headed toward a group of five ninjas who were throwing ninja stars at his car. He attempted to run them down but they jumped out of the way. Jeans nonchalantly aimed his MT-5 up in the air and without looking fired it once, the spread shot from the explosives and shrapnel killed three of them, Jeans chuckling to himself as he made a sharp U-turn. Jared grappled off the edge of the prison gliding over Jean's car, Rob was being protected in the backseat, Jared reached in his utility belt and pulled out a syringe with highly concentrated morphine in it and threw it through the passenger seat window. Rob caught it centimeters from his face, he looked up at Jared and gave him a glance saying thanks, Jared saluted him almost and costed off glide kicking a mercenary in the back, jumping off his shoulders performing a backflip straight up and coming down on his head with his hands clasped together knocking him out.

Danielle was attempting to take out a few of the ninjas when a familiar voice was heard from the roof of the prison. "HEY FUCKERS... REMEMBER ME!!!" Jared looked away from what he was doing to look up to see who it was. It was their old friend Connor. He was in a giant mecha like robot. He jumped down next to Danielle and before she could react he slapped her into the side of the building knocking her out. "DANIELLE!!!" Jared yelled but as he was about to run to her side he was hit in the face by a heavy shuriken. Luckily his cowl was made from a steel so the blow wouldn't be as painful. It still knocked him to the ground and before he could get up he was rushed by five more ninjas being beat, one pulled out a dagger with a six inch blade and stabbed Jared through a opening groove in his armor leading a tendon in his shoulder. Jared pressed a button on his cowl and built in heavy duty shades covered his eyes as he jumped in the air and threw a flash bang to the ground blinding the ninjas. They were all blindly swinging their swords as he landed back in the middle, Jared struck all the ninjas in vital pressure points blocking the flow of chi temporarily paralyzing the silly dressed men, then ran up to all of them knocking them out. When he finished and ran over to Danielle he got in his comm "Jeans bring the car over to me Danielle is alive but not waking up". "Little busy here man, can it wait!" Jeans yelled. Adrianna tried to shoot the mecha in any vital points but didn't appear to have any. Connor opened the hatch to his mecha "LIFE IS BETTER...WITH A TITAN!!!" he yelled and shot Adrianna with a laser shredding parts of her armor from her left leg and from her elbow down to her hand on her right arm. She fell to the ground blacking out. Jeans watched this from a distance and kicked on the Nos to his car drove to Adrianna and slammed on his brakes. He stepped out of his car with so much anger and intensity it was almost as if he was going on slow motion, pulled out a cigarette put it in his mouth and lit it, took a long drag and flipped a switch on his gun. Three rods popped out the bottom and latched into the ground with another rod that lifted the gun up to Jean's eyes. He had turned it into a mounted gatling gun with explosive rounds. "Die" was all Jeans said, then shot five rounds at the titan. The shots created a giant smoke plume around its target, Jeans waited patiently for the smoke to unveil what he had done. The smoke faded and huge machine was barely phased, it was automatically regenerating but the explosion managed to stall it. Daniel who was over by Jared trying to assist with Danielle, was also watching what was happening and looked up at his brother "Goodbye...Jared, love you brother" Daniel ran off towards Jeans, who was trying to cradle his girlfriend. "Jeans i need her sticky bombs" Daniel asked but took them anyways and left, Jeans just nodded seeming confused. He took up four sticky bombs and placed two in his pockets and two in his hoodie pockets, he drew his sword and ran toward the mecha brutally murdering mercenaries, slicing them in half and stabbing them through the skull destroying the brain. Then the Rob imposter, came limping out of the door or the prison looking rather demented "ROB....I'M THE REAL ROB NOT YOU!!!!!! HAHAHAHA" and ran up to Daniel almost zombie like, Daniel tried to take the blade to the imposter to kill him, but the fake raised his arm, blocking most of the hit but slicing off his arm and still going strong. The imposter was cloned with the same strength as the real, and went for a straight punch to daniels chest plate cracking it with a ear splitting noise, sounding like a two by four being split. Daniel had so much adrenaline pumping through him it didn't even phase him, he drew out a pistol he had hidden on a inside pocket of his hoodie and in an instant shot the imposter through the heart making it explode and the pressure forcing the blood through the body to exploding the veins, then with his second and last bullet shot him in the head. With the pain beginning to hit Daniel hard, he ran toward the mecha which was finishing its regeneration process, he latched two of the sticky bombs to his chest, threw one bomb down the exhaust pipe and the last one to the glass window on the hatch. Daniel stabbed the swords through the glass almost reaching connors face and detonating all the other bombs causing a chain reaction. Jared watching in horror as his brother was blown to bits in a fiery blaze, destroying the mecha causing connor to fly several hundred feet.

Jared fell to his knees in despair. His last relative was dead, he didnt even know what to do for the first time in a long time. He was completely drained of fighting spirit, will power and the will to survive "So long..brother". Connor ran up to Jared who looked up at him and got punch so hard in the face he was knocked back into the wall and the metal of his cowl was dented and jamming into his jaw. Connor was different, very different from the last time he had seen him. He had a big build, he became very muscular and serious. Connor rushed up to Jared again repeatedly and rapidly punching him in the stomach his armor being dented and torn. Jared fell again but on his stomach, he lay flat, panting, and clenched his hands into fists, just when Connor was about to slam down on Jared's back he rolled out of the way, did a kip up to get on his feet and performed a frontflip onto the wall and backflipped behind him. He jabbed his fingers into the back of the shoulder, as Connor tried to turn around with a powerful swing Jared ducked and jabbed again in the front of the shoulder in the soft spot under the clavicle bone and once more in the tricep. "What was that a tickle?" Connor asked "no its a nerve bundling adultoid. It might not have hurt but you won't be moving that arm for a while". It was true, Connor tried to swing at Jared but his arm wouldn't move. "Im done here connor, go fuck yourself you annoying prick" Jared said with such anger in his voice. Jared pulled out two throwing knives, one in either hand and performed a new throwing technique he was trying to learn, it was a non spin knife throw, it allowed the knife to fly straight like an arrow. He threw the blades and one pierce perfectly into the front of Connor's leg and the other in the same spot that Jared had jabbed him, as Connor winced with pain and shut his eyes for a second he was shot in the back by Jean's gun but the body armor was too advanced it almost matched Jared's, the blast didn't even affect him but a few bits of shrapnel. "This battlefield is getting too hot, i'm ending this" Connor said turning around running up to Jeans getting in his face. grabbed his gun and crushed it with one hand and bitch slapped Jeans into his own car greatly denting the car door then turned around and ran past Jared who tried to throw a knife but was too slow for once but Connor caught it instead. He ran and grabbed Danielle in a headlock who had just come to, holding the knife he caught, up to her neck. "Stay back you batman mother fucker i swear to god i will slit her throat, it will be easy like cutting a tomato and having the juices ooze out. Dont come any closer i swear ill do it ill kill her" Connor said with slight fear and desperation in his voice. "JARED STOP HIM, PLEASE YOU HAVE TOO, DON'T LET HIM DO THIS TO US" Danielle shrieked, and for being a trained assassin now he was surprised to see her so freaked out. Jared was the only sane one in the situation somehow, he kept his cool then in a split second ran up to Connor and looked him straight in the eyes "No you won't kill her" Jared said as he grabbed her by the throat clenched down on his larynx almost breaking it as he grabbed Danielle and put her behind him while he disarmed Connor's knife. He reached him hand way back making a fist, Connor's eyes went wide and fearful as Jared punched him with all his force, his skull cracked slightly while breaking his nose and blasted him straight through the ten inch thick stone wall shattering his rib cage and sending a shock through his spine paralyzing him but not killing him.

Jared was the last one standing but just barely, he pressed the button on his arm that called the batwing. It arrived within five minutes he carried everyone and put them into Jean's car, then grappled up to his vehicle and used a much larger grapnel hook grabbing onto the roof of the partially destroyed mustang GT. He flew back to the cave, everyone unconscious except Tabby who was still in the back seat. With everyones wills and bodies broken they landed back in the cave and Jared had Tabby help him carry them all to the infirmary. First was Rob, and when they carried him in, to their surprise Oliver was awake. "Hey guys thanks for the-" he said but was stopped by his own shock and ran over to his former pupil to help. Tabby sat by Rob's bedside, crying on his arm as Jared and Oliver brought everyone else in. Once the finished Jared and Oliver went to the batcomputer to talk. "So you're the new batman...wanna explain" Oliver said chuckling. Jared explained what had happened and Oliver was shocked "Wow no way, so your basically Bruce....i dont even have words, even in his death he is still surprising people. Well lets hope that everyone wakes up tomorrow and we can devise a plan" The former Green Arrow stated.

MEANWHILE...

Back at the prison Slade stood on top of the building who watched everything, he was shockingly surprised, and nothing surprises him. He jumped down to the giant hole in the wall where his apprentice lay dying, gasping for air. "So Rob and his friends still manage to one up me, no matter i kind of wanted this to happen, now i can fix up my apprentice with my skills and will have to replace anything broken on him with metal....or just make him partially metal anyways. I'll think about it" Slade said as he tried to lift Connor onto his shoulders trying not to hurt him so badly as he walks back into the darkness of the prison laughing "Oh this is going to be fun" he says and disappears into the shadows of the eerie building.
