Chapter 15: Lazarus

Rob and Jared were walking out the door of S.T.A.R. labs, Rob stopped in his tracks sensing another presence "what?" Jared asks. Rob just looking down the long hallway and sees a figure drawing a rifle. Rob drew his bow with extreme speeds, knocked back an arrow and let it fly, in seconds the shady figure was on the ground. Rob had only shot the figure in the shoulder "You're losing your touch" Jared says jokingly as the two approach the guard. Rob picked up the guard "hello" Rob says "Don't hurt me man, i got a family" The guard says terrified bleeding profusely from his shoulder "Must be nice" Rob replies tossing him to the ground.

Rob and Jared leave the facility and head for the batwing "why didn't you kill him? Thats not your style" Jared asks. Rob just shrugs his shoulders and says "Don't worry about it" "hmm ok whatever you say, hope you're finally against the whole killing thing" Jared said still hoping he was right. "Don't count on it. Now lets get back to the Arrow Cave, and i think im going to give Oliver some ideas on new names" Rob replies laughing. They hop into the batwing and head back.

Several hours had past, Rob and Jared returned, Jared walked up to Oliver immediately, pulling out the crystal piece from his belt. "Oliver do you have any machines i can use to analyze this. Its called Lazarus and i need to study it. Plus we might have found out who the brains behind Slade's evil armada is" Jared asked eagerly "Well, sorry to say but Bruce's batcave...err i mean your batcave has more of the tools you need i was never really the detective type, all i had were two people who stayed here and kept me updated and worked my 'batcomputer'. We will need to go back there, but for now lets stay here and rest, while you prep everything to go in the morning, it will be about a five hour drive, well for you fly but you get the point" "Ok sounds good to me, the rest of you need sleep, night Oliver. Night Rob. Jared went to work with the tools Oliver had, and to figure out exactly who Rha's Al Ghul was. Rob and Oliver were walking to there sections of the Queen house "Hey Oliver" Rob said "Yes Rob?" Oliver replied "Why do you call your HQ the arrow cave, i mean i get it but isn't that kind of a rip off of Batman's original idea" Rob questions "Well although the original batman and i didn't see eye to eye, you and Jared are our perfect replacements. We don't see eye to eye but when it comes down to it were good friends and worked together to get something done. So you two remind me of the old days, Bruce and I fighting crime, but now you two and your pal Jeans are saving the world. So i couldn't think of a clever name for my HQ so yes in a way i ripped off Batman." Oliver explained "Well how about a new name. Since its a place you put your arrows and suit, how about calling it....The Quiver." Rob said with slight enthusiasm "hmm i like it.....The Quiver it is" Oliver replied. "Ok goodnight Oliver, glad you like the new name" Rob said "Alright you too Rob and no problem, see you tomorrow" Oliver replied.

The next morning started like any normal day back at the cave, Jeans and Adrianna were already up smoking pot. Jared had seemingly fallen asleep while working. Jeans crept over to where Jared was and pulled out an air horn he had gotten while Jared and Rob were at STAR labs. He put the horn inches from his face and *TOOT!!!!!* Jared jumped out of his skin, not from being scared but he never liked loud noises. "What. The. Hell. Jeans" Jared muttered removing his cape and cowl having slept with his whole suit on. Rob came downstairs looking at everyone with a hatred in his eyes "Why are all of you being SO GODDAMN LOUD" Rob yelled. "HAHA sorry i wanted to scare the shit out of Jared while he was sleeping" Jeans laughed "And you thought a blow horn was a good idea, to wake him up, and wake us all up. To Rob's surprise he was actually the last one to get up, Oliver was drinking and the rest were already up. "Come on Rob quit your bitchin, grab some scotch with Oliver and lets get ready to leave" Jared said "Don't tell me what to fuckin do" Rob replied sounding groggy and pissed. He was already walking over to Oliver to grab a bottle of scotch to help himself wake up. "Come on, we need to start packing up i wanna head back to the cave within a half hour" Jared commanded "Jared lighten up have some tea, we all just woke up what's the rush" Jeans replies sounding laid back as ever. "I need to look over this data and evidence, i get the feeling something serious is about to happen...and whatever it is....i want it to end now" Jared said with slight rage in his voice. "Calm yourself Jared we will get going when everybody is ready. Don't rush them we have all day" Rob says. Rob goes to look for Jean's and finds him and Adrianna smoking. "Here" Rob says to Jean's pulling out his revolver given to him by his grandfather "I can't accept this" Jean's says "You don't have a choice" Rob says laughing. Jared approached Rob and Jean's and handed Rob a new bow "Its indestructible" Jared said, Rob looked the bow up and down holding it in one hand. "What do you think?" Jared asked Rob. He looked up at Jared and swiftly smashes the bow into Jareds chest Jared took a few steps back gasping for breath, trying to recover from the blow "What the hell man" Jared yells "yup this will work because if this doesn't break from smashing into your suit then nothing will break it" Rob replies with a smile. "Guys its time" Oliver shouts as everybody heads towards their vehicles Rob slows down and pulls out his sword tossing it aside. Rob glances over at Jared to see him clenching his chest as he crawls into the batwing flipping Rob off in the process. Rob and Oliver got into the batmobile and Jean's and Adrianna get into Jean's car. "What now" Oliver asks Rob smiles and says "Time to make our presence known"
