Chapter 13: Revenge

Back at the batcave the group was finishing up packing. Jared had Taylor cuffed by her wrists and ankles with rope also around her neck and a single piece leading down her back in case he had to grab her and the rope continued down to her legs, making it almost impossible to walk. There was no way Jared was going to let her get away and back stab him again. Jared drove the batmobile up to the exit of the cave and gave Rob the keys for him and Oliver to ride in. Jeans was taking his mustang and he was actually kind of sad, he didn't have his old gun so Rob lent him two uzi and his girlfriends still had her Samus suit although Jared didn't have time to build or make repairs so it was not at its full potential. Tabby walked up to Jared "Where do i go? Your not leaving me here are you?" Jared pointed to the backseat of Jean's mustang "Sorry Rob's orders" Jared said. "Fine, but know adrianna and i are going to be smoking....like everything we have." Jeans joked but was being serious.

Jared tossed Taylor in the back seats of the batwing and strapped her in "what's wrong batman, don't trust me" Taylor joked promiscuously just trying to get perfectly under Jared's skin and into his head. So he gagged her by putting duct tape over her mouth. Jared jumped down from the hovering jet "OK PEOPLE LETS GO. I wanna find and take down slade just as much as rob. when we get to star city i'm going to S.T.A.R. labs and having them help me make new gear for everyone who wants any" Jared yelled proudly.

The group had taken off and were about twenty minutes out with still another hour and a half to go. Rob and Oliver were racing Jean's and the girls down the highway when Oliver asked Rob "What's on your mind" "Is it that obvious" Rob replied "Only to me, remember back in the good old days me, you, Speedy, Batman, Robin and Jared" Oliver says "I sure do, those were the days" Rob replies. "Alright Rob just tell me whats bothering you and maybe I can help" Oliver says, Rob just smirks and says "Watch this" as he cuts off Jean's and does a 180 degrees turn and starts driving backwards, Rob and Jean's were now driving at the same speed but the only thing that Rob was looking at was Tabby. Rob and Tabby were having an intense stare down when Jared said "Stop fucking around Rob were on a mission" Rob just spun the car around and told Jared "You just gotta live a little Jared" "Yeah right who needs to live when you lost the last person you love. The only thing i have left to do is the right thing to do in this life" he replied with sarcasm and depression in his voice. "Once we get to Star city I'm going to the arrow cave, and i want you to come with me i want to give you something" Oliver said "Alright" Rob replied "I want you to take my place whenever you decide to go you will make a great Green Arrow" Oliver went on "I couldn't take that from you thats your legacy" Rob replies "You're my successor which means its your destiny should you so choose" Oliver insisted, Rob just smiled and nodded his head. Rob just looked over at Oliver when Jared says over the comm "Guys we have company, multiple targets showing up on my thermal imaging monitor". Rob pulled the Batmobile behind a small hill, Jean's and Jared followed "Stay here" Rob told Oliver as he grabbed his bow and went to meet Jared at the top of the hill. Rob walks up to Jared and neither of them said a word until Jared handed Rob his binoculars when Rob looked through them he mumbled one word "Connor". The gang of mercenaries and Connor in his Titan were getting closer, Rob slid down to the rest of the group who was already gathered "Alright there are six of them including Connor, Get Ready" Rob said as he went to check on Jared "Don't kill him, beat the shit out of him, but don't kill him" is all Rob said "don't kill any of them" Jared replied jokingly but being serious. Rob jumped down onto the road walking towards the Titan and his mercenaries, knocking back an arrow and launching it at the first mercenary the arrow went through the man's throat. Jared jumped down next to Rob "I said don't kill any of them" Jared snapped "Sorry force of habit now" Rob replied with a smirk shrugging his shoulders. "Alright whatever lets go" Jared ordered sending in just him and Rob.

Jared drew out two batarangs in both hands throwing them at a mercenary running up into Rob's face about to punch him in the face. The knives lodged right into the man's arm, Rob took a swing but missed as the man fell to the ground but instead Rob grabbed his head on either side and slammed it into his knee. The other mercenaries were coming in hot and began firing rockets at them. Connor was oddly sitting there, idle, just as if he were watching their every move. Rob rushed two mercenaries and latched onto their necks nearly crushing both their larynx's. Jared punched Rob in the back "I said no killing damnit" Jared said Rob just rolled his eyes then Jared jumped into the air gliding down onto another mercenary glide kicking him in the back of the head, jumping up performing a backflip dodging another man coming at him from behind, landing on his shoulders, jumped down in front of him looking the startled man in the eyes slamming his fists down onto his clavicle bones then palm striking his chest plate knocking him back and forcing the air out of him, hitting his head as he fell, blacking out. "Ok thats all five of his thugs, and i have to say that wasn't much of a fight?" Jared questioned. He walked over to Rob but before he approached him Rob was shot by a laser from the Titan. Jared ran over to Rob "looks like the real fight is about to start. Come on get up, time for some fun" Jared said.
