"I swear I'm going to cut the breaks on his car by the end of this year."
Roman ranted to Stefan who merely laughed as they walked into history class.
Roman and Bonnie spent most of class passing a piece of paper back and forth with
their game of tic-tac-toe.
"Originally discovered nearly 5 centuries ago, it hasn't been over Mystic Falls in over 145 years. Now, the comet will be its brightest right after dusk during tomorrow's celebration."
Tanner spoke, stopping as his eyes landed on Elena and Stefan.
"Someone's in trouble."
Bonnie sang under her breath as Roman chuckled.
"Are we bothering you, Mr. Salvatore? Ms. Gilbert?"
Elena went to respond but the bell cut her off as everyone ran out of the classroom.
Roman followed Caroline and Bonnie, seemingly lost in his thoughts.
"Roman?"
"Huh?"
Roman snapped out of his trance looking up to see Caroline smiling wide.
"Did you know Bonnie's psychic?"
Caroline rose an eyebrow as Bonnie rolled her eyes.
"I was thinking she was more of a witch."
Roman smirked as Bonnie groaned hitting him.

"Well, I was talking to Grams, and she said the comet is a sign of impending doom.
The last time it passed over Mystic Falls, there was lots of death. So much blood and carnage, it created a bed of paranormal activity."
Bonnie smiled at Roman, Elena and Caroline sitting across from them.
"Yeah, and then you poured Grams another shot and she told you about the aliens."
Caroline faked a smile.
Roman sighed rolling his eyes.
"Easy on the sarcasm Care."
"Sorry, sorry. Anyways what happened with you and Stefan?"
Caroline turned to Elena.
"Nothing."
Elena told them as Roman cringed not wanting to hear about this.
"You and Stefan talked all night? There was no sloppy first kiss or touchy feely of any kind?"
"Caroline!"
Roman exclaimed covering his ears as the blonde rolled her eyes.
"Oh please. Not even a handshake? I mean, Elena, we are your friends. Ok? You are supposed to share the smut!"
Caroline exclaimed with a bright smile.
"You are not supposed to do that under any circumstance!"
Roman protested pointing at Elena, as Bonnie laughed at him.
"We just talked for hours."
Elena shrugged glancing at Roman and Caroline as Bonnie sat back enjoying the show.
"OK, what is with the blockage? Just jump his bones already! Ok, it's easy. Boy likes girl, girl likes boy, sex!"
"Caroline-"
"Oh please Roman like you haven't told your brother about banging someone."
Caroline rolled her eyes sipping on her coffee.
"No I haven't, because that's weird to tell your twin!"
Roman exclaimed over dramatically as Bonnie slapped his shoulder.
"Profound."
Elena rolled her eyes standing up and grabbing her bag.
"Where are you going?"
Bonnie rose an eyebrow.
"Caroline's right. It is easy. If I sit here long enough, I'll end up talking myself out of it instead of doing what I started the day saying what I was going to do."
Elena smirked at the three.
"Roman you're coming with, I need directions."
Roman groaned but followed the girl none the less.

Roman and Elena walked up to the door of the boarding house, only to see it open.
"Watch out Elena."
Roman told her quietly pushing her behind himself.
"Stefan?"
Roman called cautiously wondering if his brother had just forgot to lock the door.
"Watch out!"
Elena exclaimed as a bird flew through the door.
A crow.
Roman's eyes widened as he pushed Elena toward the door.
"Elena get out of here!"
He shouted also moving toward the door.
"Why's that little brother?"
The cold voice made Roman stop with wide eyes.
"Who are you?"
Elena questioned walking past Roman.
"You must be Elena. I'm Roman and Stefan's big brother-"
"Damon."
Roman finished for him ice cold as he turned to face the raven haired vampire.
"Hello baby brother."
Damon smirked waving.
"You two never mentioned a brother."
Elena turned to Roman.
"Well he isn't worth mentioning."
Roman kept his glare on his eldest brother.
"Aw what's wrong little bro? Stefan forget to tell you I stopped by last night?"
Damon smirked as he saw Roman's eyes get even wider.
"Anyways I'm sure Stefan will be here any minute, please stay."
Damon smirked at Elena as she looked around the house.
"This is your living room?"
Elena questioned in awe.
"Living room, parlor, Sotheby's auction. It's a little kitschy for my taste. I see why my brother's so smitten. It's about time. For a while there, I never thought he'd get over the last one. Nearly destroyed him."
Damon winked at Roman, knowing what he was talking about.
"The last one?"
Elena asked.
"No need to bring up the past big brother, we all know it burned away a long time ago."
Roman smirked at the double meaning as Damon glared.
"Katherine, his girlfriend? Oh, you two haven't had the awkward exes conversation yet."
Damon sucked his teeth pretending to ignore Roman.
"Nope."
Elena shook her head as she observed Damon.
"Oops. Well, I'm sure it'll come up now, or maybe Ro can tell you."
Damon poured himself a drink as Roman kept his glare on his brother.
"Hello Stefan."
Damon greeted not even looking at the door.
Roman didn't have to either to know his twin was by his side.
Elena turned to look at Stefan, and it didn't take a genius to know he was angry.
"Elena. I didn't know you were coming over."
Stefan said keeping his eyes on Damon, as did Roman.
"I'm sorry I know I should've called-"
"Oh, don't be silly. You're welcome any time. Isn't she, Stefan? You know, I should break out the family photo albums or some home movies-"
"Enough Damon."
Roman cut the man off getting angrier each second he was there.
"Thank you for stopping by, Elena. Nice to see you."
Stefan told her, basically asking her to leave.
"Yeah, I should probably go. It was nice to meet you, Damon."
Elena nodded walking to the door.
"Im coming too Lena-"
"Nonsense baby brother. Stay awhile. Nice meeting you Elena."
Damon's voice sounded cold, making Roman stay in the house as Elena left.
"Great gal. Whoo. She's got spunk. You, on the other hand, look pooped. Did you over-exert yourself today? Let me guess...hospital?"
Damon smirked at Stefan as Roman turned to face him.
"What?"
The youngest Salvatore asked.
"Last night Damon attacked Matt's little sister and he didn't compel her. Someone had to clean up your mess."
Stefan glared at Damon.
"Well, were you successful? Did the powers of persuasion work? Remember, if you don't feed properly, none of those little tricks work right. And I'm guessing you couldn't ask Roman because then he would know I was here?"
Damon chuckled seeing Roman and Stefan getting more and more angry with him.
"How long was Elena here?"
Stefan asked Roman, now deciding to ignore Damon.
"Not long and I was here-"
"Were you worried, Stefan?
Scared we may be doomed to repeat the past?
Isn't that why you play your little game, 'I'm a high school human'?"
Damon cut Roman off as the twin rolled his eyes.
"He isn't playing games."
Roman told him becoming annoyed.
"Of course he is. We both know the closest Stefan will ever get to humanity is ripping it open and feeding on it."
Damon chuckled as Stefan looked at the ground.
"What are you even doing here Damon?"
Roman shouted, finally done with his brother.
"Guess you'll have to wait and see won't you?"
Damon smirked raising his glass and taking a drink, before striding out.
"Roman-"
"I don't want to talk to you right now."
Roman glared at his twin storming out of the boarding house.

Roman didn't want to talk to anyone in town, especially not with the large crowds.
He ran out to the bridge sitting on the edge.
He had decided to call an old friend that always seemed to make him feel better.
"Hey sunshine."
Her bright voice made him smile as he laughed softly.
"Hey Lexi, how are you?"
"I'm great, but by the sound of your voice I'm guessing you aren't?"
Roman ran a hand through his hair.
"Why are you always so amazing?"
"It's just natural for me."
Roman laughed softly.
"Damon came back into town, Stefan didn't tell me."
Roman told her.
"Well which is worse?"
Lexi asked over the phone.
"Both? I don't know. I just- I knew this was going to happen."
Roman watched the water beneath the bridge.
"Well sunshine, I think it's okay to be mad at Damon, but even though it was stupid Stefan didn't want to make you upset."
Roman nodded listening to her words.
"Why are you such a genius?"
He asked her as her laugh flowed over the phone.
"I'm not a genius, I'm just smarter then you."
Roman laughed, Lexi always knew how to make him feel better.
"I better get going before Stefan sends a search party. Love you Lex."
"Love you too sunshine."
Roman smiled hanging up the phone, not as angry as before.
