"I'm not saying don't date the guy. I'm just saying take it slow."
Bonnie shrugged, Roman's arm slung over her shoulder.
"You guys were the ones who said go for it."
Elena sighed as they walked around the courtyard of the school.
"I said no such thing."
Roman smirked as Elena grinned rolling her eyes.
"Well now I'm saying take it slow."
Bonnie sighed sipping on her coffee.
Roman rubbed her shoulder trying to calm her down.
"Why the about face?"
Elena rose an eyebrow at Bonnie.
"It's not an about-face. You're single for the first time in your entire high school career. It's the perfect time to play the field."
Bonnie suggested with a fake smile.
"Oh, because I'm so that girl. Seriously, what are you not saying?"
Elena questioned curiously.
"It's stupid."
Bonnie shook her head leaning into Roman.
"Bonnie cmon spit it out."
Elena pushed.
"I touched Stefan and I got a bad feeling."
Bonnie mumbled shaking her head.
"Is that it Bonnie?"
Elena questioned blowing off Bonnie's suspicions.
"Come on it could be the same reason Stefan didn't tell Ro about Damon."
Bonnie brought up the odd encounter making Roman tense.
"Is this the whole witch mojo thing again?"
Elena sighed pushing her hair out of her face.
Bonnie rolled her eyes before taking a deep breath and smiling.
"You know what? I'm just concerned. This is me expressing concern about my best friend's new boyfriend."
Elena smiled back at Bonnie as Roman squeezed her softly.
"And I love you for it, I do. But I feel good. It's been a hard year, and I'm starting to kind of feel like things are getting back to normal again. And you know what? Stefan is a big part of that."
Elena nodded giving Bonnie a small smile before walking off.
"I'm not hating on Stefan I'm just looking out for her."
Bonnie told Roman tiredly.
"I know Bonnie, just don't look to much into it."
Roman breathed out forcing a smile.
"I got the same feeling about you, you know?"
Bonnie told Roman quietly.
"What made you stick around then?"
Roman asked raising his eyebrow as he looked at Bonnie.
"You care too much about others to do something evil."
Bonnie beamed up at him making Roman laugh as they walked to class.

"World war II ended in...Anyone got anything? Miss Juan?"
Everyone ignored Mr. Tanner as he tried to teach.
"1945."
He sighed seeing as no one had an answer.

Where did you go yesterday?- S

Roman sighed clenching his jaw as he looked down at his phone.

I called Lexi- R

"Pearl Harbor, Miss. Gilbert?"
Tanner asked again.
"December 7, 1941."
Roman and Stefan spoke in sync with identical smirks.
"You're so creepy."
Bonnie mumbled under her breath scribbling on her paper.
"Thank you, Miss. Gilbert's."
Tanner said annoyed as Stefan and Roman smirked at each other.
"Anytime."
Stefan leaned back in his seat.
"Very well. The fall of the Berlin wall."
Tanner asked agian looking at Roman.
"1989. We're good with dates, sir."
Roman told the teacher as he glared.
"Are you? How good? Keep it to the year every other question. Civil Rights Act."
Tanner began to challenge the two teenagers.
"1964."
Stefan answered nonchalantly.
"John F. Kennedy assassination."
"1963."
Roman tapped his pencil on the desk.
"Martin Luther King."
Tanner leaned back on his desk beginning to get annoyed with the twins.
"'68."
Stefan replied easily as Roman chuckled, the other students intently watching.
"Lincoln."
Tanner clenched his teeth together.
"1865 sir."
Roman leaned back throwing his feet over his desk.
"Roe vs. Wade."
"1973."
Stefan sighed beginning to get bored.
"Brown vs. Board."
Tanner asked again getting angrier.
"1954."
Roman turned to Bonnie drawing a hangman game on her paper.
"The battle of Gettysburg."
Roman's jaw fell agape as Bonnie guess the movie title in two turns.
"1863."
"Korean war."
"1950 to 1953."
Roman turned back around facing the teacher.
"Ha! It ended in '52!"
Tanner exclaimed loudly pointing a finger at the boy.
"Uh, actually, sir, it was '53."
Stefan interjected as he nodded slyly to his brother.
"Look it up, somebody. Quickly."
Tanner hissed.
"It was 19...53."
Roman laughed as Bonnie patted him on the back, and he and Stefan high-fived.
The bell rang and Roman followed Stefan and Elena out of class.
"How did you know all of that?"
She asked laughing.
"Years and years of crossword puzzles."
Stefan grinned as Roman rolled his eyes.
"And you get bored moving around so much."
He added in,
"You trying out for football too Ro?"
Elena questioned as Stefan also looked for an answer.
"I- uh, I don't think so I have something to do."
Roman shared a look with Stefan.
"See you soon."
Roman walked out of school but not before checking his phone.

Picking you up later, dinner at Lena's- B

"You explain it. Last night, I'm watching Nine-o, a commercial breaks come on and I'm like, I bet it's that phone commercial. And sure enough, it's that guy and the girl with the bench, he flies to Paris and he flies back. They take a picture."
Bonnie explained to Elena and Roman as the brunette set up dinner.
"Oh please those commercials are on a constant loop."
Elena scoffed pouring food in a bowl.
"I know right. Plus I already told you Bon, you're a witch."
Roman laughed as Bonnie hit his shoulder.
"Whatever, if I'm a witch you're a vampire."
She snorted.
"I could be, Bonnie."
Roman laughed to himself.
"And, how about this? Today I'm obsessed with numbers. 3 numbers. I keep seeing 8, 14, and 22. How weird is that?"
Bonnie crossed her arms as she tried to love a point to her best friends.
"Maybe we should play the lottery?"
Roman grinned as Bonnie rolled her eyes.
"Have you talked to Grams?"
Elena asked stirring the food.
"She's just gonna say it's because I'm a witch. I don't want to be a witch. Do you want to be a witch? Roman don't answer that."
Bonnie scolded Roman as he put his hands up in defense.
"Lena putting it in a nice bowl doesn't fool anybody."
Roman chuckled as Elena playfully glared.
"Ro can you get the serving spoons?"
"Where are they at?"
"Middle drawer on your left."
Bonnie spoke up as Roman and Elena looked at each other with wide eyes.
Roman hesitantly pulled open the drawer, passing Elena two spoons.
"Okay, you've been in this kitchen thousands of times."
Elena defended the odd knowledge.
Bonnie nodded unconvincingly.
"Yeah, that's it."

"Bonnie, you should have seen Stefan today. Tyler threw a ball right at him, and-"
"Yeah, I heard."
Bonnie smiled awkwardly at Elena as Roman grabbed his friends hand in comfort.
"Why don't you tell Stefan about your family?"
Elena tried to get Bonnie to open up, even though it was clear to the Salvatore's she didn't want to."
"Um, divorced. No mom. Live with my dad-"
Bonnie squeezed Roman's hand.
"No, about the witches."
Elena smiled suddenly interested.
"Yeah big brother, Bonnie's from the Bennet line."
Roman nodded at his brother and smiled down at the girl.
"I'm not as versed as Roman, but I do know that there's a history of Celtic druids that migrated here in the 1800s."
"My family came by way of Salem."
Bonnie explained.
"Really? Salem witches?"
Stefan smiled realizing why Roman was talking about witches.
"Yeah."
"I would say that's pretty cool."
Stefan smiled at Bonnie who smiled back shyly.
"Really? Why?"
"Salem witches are heroic examples of individualism and nonconformity. Stefan and I know a lot about it."
Roman spoke up.
"Yeah, they are."
Bonnie laughed lightly pushing around her food.
Suddenly the doorbell rang as Elena went up to get it.
Stefan and Roman both listened, and they heard their brother.
"Roman-"
Stefan tried to stop his brother.
"Oh hell no."
Roman seethed storming to the front door.
"Elena don't invite them in, he can't be here."
Roman protested as Stefan grabbed him by the arm.
"Why not little brother?"
Damon smirked.
"Because you're a piece of-"
"You know what just come in."
Elena invited him in along with Caroline as Roman glared.
"You have a lovey home Elena."
Damon smirked his eyes still locked with his baby brothers.
"Thanks."
Elena mumbled awkwardly.

"I cannot believe that Mr. Tanner let you on the team. Tyler must be seething. But good for you.
Go for it."
Caroline beamed at Stefan, sitting on the armrest of the chair Damon was sat in.
Roman glared leaning into the wall, as Elena, Stefan, and Bonnie sat on the couch.
"That's what I always tell him. You have to engage. You can't just sit there and wait for life to come to you. You have to go get it."
Damon faked enthusiasm as the twins glared at him.
"Yeah, Elena wasn't so lucky today.
It's only because you missed summer camp. God, I don't know how you're ever going to learn the routines."
Caroline talked down to the brunette.
"I'll work with her."
Bonnie told Care, slightly glaring.
"We can put her in the back."
"You don't seem like the cheerleader type Elena."
Damon smirked at the girl who was basically leaning into Stefan's side.
"Oh, it's just 'cause her parents died. Yeah, I mean, she's just totally going through a blah phase. She used to be way more fun."
Caroline chuckled rudely.
"Caroline I'd be more careful about what you say."
Roman glared at the blonde who rolled her eyes.
"What? I say that with complete sensitivity."
Caroline protested.
"I'm sorry, Elena. I know what it's like to lose both your parents. In fact, the twins and I have watched almost every single person we've ever cared about die."
Damon slightly grinned knowing Roman was getting angrier and angrier.
"How much of that was your fault big brother?"
Roman glared as Stefan stood up off the couch placing a hand on Roman's arm.
"I'm sorry you two, the last thing I wanted to do was bring them up."
Damon smirked as Roman glared shoving Stefan off of him.
"Why so worked up baby brother?"
Damon chuckled standing up.
"Because Damon nobody wants you here, why don't you just leave."
Roman glared.
"I think a lot of people want me."
Damon smirked.
Roman leaned in close an evil smirked on his face.
"Katherine didn't."
Roman smirked at his eldest brother before storming out of the house.
