It started with the brown eyed boy. Him and I were in a small room, an operation table placed in the center, multiple tools placed on it. They have an appearance of toys though I've learned long ago they aren't. They're used when I complain, fight back, or try to run. The system here is simple. Wake up, eat what they give you, and do what they say.
"Why am I here?" I ask the boy, who looks at me as I speak and he shrugs.
"Dad doesn't tell me. Its not my business." He says.
"Calum.. Are you trapped here too?" He shakes his head.
"No. I live down the street but-" Calum begins to speak before the cough behind him interrupts. I look up and see his father.
"Calum. What did I say about speaking to the subject? Shes dangerous."
"I'm sorry paps. Its just. There's no other kids here.." Calum sighs as he stands up, walking to his father, not looking in my direction again. His dad looks at me and leaves the room, closing the door behind him. Leaving me alone again as I've so often been in this never ending building of rooms. I stand and walk to the door, my hand gently grazing the knob before I grab it. If i go out there I know I could get caught but I cant stay in this building forever. As I turn the knob my heart beating drowns out all other noises, the quickly rising thump beating into my head. I open the door, the hall empty and deserted. I step out, my mind screaming to stop, to turn back and stay put. The screams grow, my body shaking. Danger danger danger. But I don't listen. I continue to walk down the hall before I hear a strange noise, almost a cry, from the room down the hall. I stop in my tracks, the voices finally silencing. I slowly walk towards the room. The eerie feeling builds, swallowing me as I reach the door. A screech comes through the door, causing me to fall backwards. I hear shuffling down the hall. Someones coming. I scramble to my feet and look for a place to hide. The footsteps are approaching from the direction of my room so I have no choice but to go into the room. I open the door quickly and gasp at the sight in front of me.
"H-help me.." She begs. I close the door and dash to a cabinet.
"They're coming but I will. I promise." I say as I close myself into the cabinet. I hold my breath. The girl was tormented, tortured, hurt. She wasn't human anymore. She had long limbs, her arms were twisted and she had no hands. What did they do to her.
"P-please stop." I hear her cry, before suddenly 4 gunshot go off, three unidentified bodies dropping to the floor, along with her. I hold in my gasp, shock causing me to freeze. What just happened?
"Grab her body. We need to leave." I hear . "Don't forget her stuff from the cabinets and hide the other bodies." No. No no no please. I push myself into a corner, tears streaking down my face. They're gonna kill me. The cabinet opens and I see, not the instructors face, but a young woman's. She looks at me and gasps.
"Alex. Come here."
