Once Calum and I finished breakfast we headed out.
"So where's our next stop?" I ask him, leaning against the car door looking at the scenery. I always wanted to see Ohio.
"First I'm bringing you to the cell towers."
"What? Why?" I look at him as he gets in the car, quickly following his actions.
"So we can remove your tracker." Calum says, handing me a magnet and a UV light. "Use the magnet and trace it along your veins. When you feel a pull, shine the light on it." He places a sharpie in my lap. "Trace what you see so we can find it when we arrive." He starts the car and pulls out of the motel parking lot, driving south down the main highway. I look down at my arm hesitantly before placing the magnet at my wrist, slowly guiding it up my arm. I'm a little over my elbow when I feel something tug against my arm. I grab the flashlight and shine on my arm, seeing a small object. I bite the end of the flashlight, keeping it aimed at the tracker, before I remove the lid off the sharpie, drawing a small circle around it.
"That's so strange." I say quietly as I set the sharpie down, still observing the small device.
"Your whole life has been strange." Calum says, keeping his eyes placed on the road.
"You're not wrong," I chuckle softly. "Its just I use to play with this. I could feel it. I always thought it was normal."
"Yeah well, you were lead to think a lot of things were." He comments, looking at my arm before returning his gaze to the road. That's true.

About an hour later, Calum and I are placed in the middle of a field, a giant electrical center placed feet in front of us.
"So.. how do we do this?" I ask him, turning to face him.
"Well, okay this is where it gets worrisome.. I have to cut it out of you." He cautiously says, keeping a few paces away from me.
"What?!"
"I know! But it's the only way."
"No! No no no no no. Are you fucking crazy? That'll kill me, it's in my vein!"
"Alexis.. you're a robot."
"Alexis is a robot, I was raised to be human, plus I still have blood, and feel pain, and know what's scary and not! No!"
"We have to! Otherwise this whole plan is ruined!" He says, huffing in frustration.
"We don't even have a plan yet. Calum, I don't wanna do that!"
"Victoria! You know I'm on your side! Look," he says grabbing my hand, my vision flowing with images of a diagram, a diagram of me. "I know where to cut to not injure you. Please trust me." I pull my hand from his and glance at my arm. God dammit. I look at him and back to my arm before sighing and holding my arm out.
"Fine, do it." He reaches into his pocket, pulling out a small scalpel and pair of tweezers. He sits me down next to the towers, setting the equipment on his coat that's laid next to me.
"Tell me what you feel." He says.
"Huh?" I ask, before realizing he meant the electricity. I could feel my hair standing on end, my body pulsing. "What the fuck."
"What does it feel like?"
"Like.. like there's a pulse moving through me."
"Good." Calum says, grabbing the scalpel and moving my arm. He looks at where he mark is he moves a few inches below it, slicing my arm. I wince and close my eyes, focusing on the feeling of the electricity. "You're doing great, I'm almost done." Opening my eyes, I see Calum dipping in my arm with the tweezers, gripping the tracker and pulling it out. He sets it on his coat, quickly grabbing an ace bandage and wrapping it around my arm. I pick the tracker up and observe it.
"Hey.. what's that symbol?" I ask Calum, noticing the small engraving on it. It's shaped as a circle with small waves inside.
"My father's companies symbol. It means undefeatable power." He says, taking the device and snapping it. "But that symbol is about to die."
