Loki kept you up all hours of the night. It was a game to him. You would go to sleep, he would wake you up, you would ask him what he wants, and his answer would always be nothing. His smirk was always present when you walked into the room, frustrated and exhausted. After hours, Loki had finally given up, allowing you to get about five total hours of sleep.

When you woke up, you decided to make some breakfast. But, as you got to the kitchen, you realized that you had absolutely no energy to make anything that required more effort than cereal. So, you fixed yourself a bowl, before fixing Loki one as well.

You brought both bowls to the room with his cell and walked in. Loki was already up which didn't surprise you. You didn't even know if he slept. "Good morning, sleep well?" Loki asked smiling innocently. You let out a small sigh as you rolled your eyes playfully. You pushed the button on the wall and handed Loki's food through the glass.

He looked at it for a moment, taking it from your hands, before asking, "No gourmet breakfast?" "Well, that's what happens when you keep me up all night," you responded, bringing up a chair and sitting in it, beginning to eat your cereal.

"I was just trying to get know to my captor a little better," he stated. "You're captor?" you questioned. "Well, I am being held against my will, which means I am being held captive, which makes you the captor," Loki explained. "Alright, well if that's the case, then the only reason you would be getting to know me would be so that you could use my weaknesses against me, in which case, I think our conversation is over," you stated, standing up and beginning to walk away.

"Wait," Loki's voice stopped you. "Perhaps it's not about getting to know my captor, rather getting to know the woman who I am being forced to live with," he suggested making you turn back around to face him.

You set your bowl of cereal on the chair you had been previously sitting on and took a couple of steps closer to the glass cell. "And why would you want to get to know her?" you asked, raising an eyebrow, wanting to know his answer. "There's something different about her. She isn't like most mortals. She isn't as pitiful," he replied nonchalantly.

You nodded your head slightly as you replied, "Oh, so I'm not as pathetic as everyone else, and that's why you tolerate talking to me for more than two minutes." Loki let out a small chuckle, the smile on his face that he tried to hide making you slightly swoon as you took in his appearance. "I find you intriguing, that's why I enjoy talking to you for more than two minutes," he responded, locking eyes with you for a moment.

Your heart stopped for a moment as the thought of Loki finding you intriguing sent shivers down your spine. Loki quickly turned around as if he was trying to snap himself out of the trance he believed he was in. Not once had he ever planned to be kind to you, let alone intrigued by you.

The plan was to be cold and manipulative and find a way to escape. But, that's wasn't exactly working out the way he wanted. It's like you were a specific brand of poison that only affected him. He didn't know what to do about it. You were toxic to the person he had been for so long and he was afraid the person he used to be would start showing. His vulnerable side.

"So, is that why you kept me up all night? Because you found me interesting?" you questioned curiously, making him turn back around and face you. "No, I simply wanted to see how much I could annoy you before you snapped. You showed remarkable restraint, though," he replied.

"Well, did you ever think that's because I enjoyed talking to you?" you stated, a small smile forming on your face as Loki looked stunned as if someone had just sedated him and he couldn't move an inch of his entire body. Although you had meant what you said, you knew it would have some effect on him, and you decided to get a little payback for last night.

"I mean come on, a handsome, powerful God from a different planet who enjoys reading? You don't think that I found you just as intriguing?" you asked, a smirk dancing on your lips. Loki could do nothing but stare at you as he processed your words.

This is exactly what he was afraid of happening. He was becoming vulnerable in front of you. But, he also couldn't help it. No matter how much he didn't want it to happen. He cleared his throat, but before he could reply, you said, "I'm going to go do some things around the bunker, I'll see you a little later."

Loki opened his mouth to say something but just shut it right away. You had rendered the God of Mischief speechless. You couldn't help but let the smirk show confidently as you picked your bowl back up and left the room, Loki watching your every movement, until he couldn't see you anymore.

You brought the bowl to the kitchen and cleaned it out, smiling to yourself as you thought about the moments that had passed between you and Loki. You would have thought he was the devil reincarnated from the way everyone talked about him. But, you were falling for his tricks. There was something about him; it was like you could see past also the bluster he gave everyone else.

You felt like you were catching glimpses of the real him, and he felt the same way, which was why he was so afraid. He couldn't go back to being the weak Asgardian who followed his brother wherever he went. He needed to powerful, right? That was what mattered. But, in just the little time that he had been with you, he felt maybe something else could matter just as much to him. He just didn't know exactly what that was yet.
