Beautiful Tragedy

Part 35

Ming helped Kit to sit on the chair resting in kitchen as he placed his stand aside. Ming's mum asked Kit if he wanted to cook with her and Ming immediately nodded saying that Kit will. He sat with Kit as she placed vegetables in front of them. Ming and Kit both grabbed knives as Ming's mum ruffled their hairs making them chuckle.

"Who thought Ming would cook with me?" She said smiling and Ming gulped feeling guilty while Kit smiled and squeezed his hand. "Of course he would, life has its way to mock you." Ming smiled gratefully at him while mum kissed his forehead. "Alright boys start cutting." she said loudly making the chuckle. Kit grabbed carrot peeling its skin while Ming went with green chilly. He didn't actually know what the hell he was doing but Kit was perfectly peeling carrot before slicing it in small pieces. Ming sliced a little and it fell down on tray in a irregular shape which made him frown while Kit laughed loudly. Ming smiled seeing him laugh before shaking his head.

"Yeah go ahead and laugh!" Ming mocked offense making him chuckle. "Here I'll show you." Kit grabbed the chilly from Ming's hand and showed Ming. "Place the knife at top like this." He said and Ming nodded observing carefully. "And then slowly move forward slicing it." Kit sliced it perfectly and Ming raised his eye brow.

"Okay My turn." Ming said but failed miserably. After few trials Kit joined Ming in cutting it irregularly and they laughed when Ming's mum saw it before glaring them and kicking them out from kitchen.

Kit, Mark, Nate and Max all watched "Minions" while Ming was out somewhere. He was gone for hours now and Kit was kind of missing him. Kit asked Ming's mum where he went but she shook his head saying she had no idea. In the end he had to give up and watch minions with them which was kind of fun, well mostly hearing Max laugh loudly. Ming's mum joined them shortly after before the movie ended and they ate dinner. Almost an hour later Ming came back with a smile on his face and he immediately beamed seeing Kit.

"Hey!" He said sitting with him as he looked at him.

"Where have you been?" Kit asked folding his hands over his chest as Ming chuckled.

"Out, why did you miss me that much?" Ming raised his eyebrow while Kit elbowed him before pouting. "I kind of did miss you." He admitted and Ming smiled kissing his cheek making him blush. He didn't know whether he do this intentionally or just like that but it affects Kit to the extent he would blush even after it was long gone.

"I missed you too." Ming smiled pulling him in a hug as he breathed in Ming's soothing scent. He immediately felt at ease and hugged him closer. He didn't know Ming leaving him just for few hours would affect him this much that he would cling to him like a cat. Ming held him for a while as they both eat ice cream Ming had brought. It was Kitkat and Kit immediately beamed excitedly, it was his absolute favorite. Ming chuckled saying he didn't exactly know but also it was his favorite too.

"Anyway I'm taking you somewhere tomorrow." Ming said and Kit's eyes widened.

"What? Where?" he asked frantically and Ming chuckled.

"Calm down, I assure you I am not kidnapping you" Ming smiled making him roll his eyes. "I'm serious, where?" Kit asked again but Ming shook his head smiling. "It's a surprise." he said while Ming glared at him.

"Come on!" he pouted but he still shook his head. Kit dropped the topic before again looking at Ming. "But I can't go" he said making Ming frown.

"Why?" he asked confused. "You know" Kit pointed at his legs and Ming shook his head. "That's not a problem" Ming said but Kit sighed. "Look Ming I appreciate you helping me in here but out there, I don't want to embarrass you or anything." Kit murmured but Ming immediately cupped his face looking deep into his eyes. "You are not an embarrassment and I am taking you out no matter what you say." his voice was so warm yet so firm Kit felt his heart beating faster. He felt tears rising in his eyes and he realized again how much Ming cared for him and he nodded, smile that followed Ming's face was worth everything and it was so contagious Kit found himself smiling too before he rested his face on Ming's shoulder as they both sat there enjoying each other's presence.
