Loki groaned, opening his eyes. The rooms was so white it hurt his eyes, and he say up slowly.
"Hi!" a blue blur zoomed onto the white bed, "Who are you? Wait, you're that Loki guy aren't you? The one that tried to take over New York?"
"That was years ago," Loki grumbled, "who are you?"
"Pietro Maximoff," Pietro replied, "speedster and also Wanda's brother."
"Is she here too?" Loki asked, suddenly attentive.
"Um, no," Pietro frowned, "at least, I should hope not."
"What do mean, 'I should hope not'?"
"Do you even know where we are?"
"No. I would say Valhalla, but you're here, so that's out of the question."
"I'm not sure what that means but I'm pretty sure it was insulting, so shame on you. We're in a secret secret base of SHIELD's."
"SHIELD? Oh please, what did I do this time?"
"You died."
There was a pause, and Loki frowned.
"That's odd. I wasn't planning on actually dying."
"Nobody ever plans it. Well, except for me of course, but that was a sort of exception."
He paused, glancing around.
"Just a question. Have you ever... gotten on the bad side... of any SHIELD agents?"
"Yes," Loki answered without hesitation, "tons of them."
Pietro bit his lip with a laugh.
"You're going to die a second time, in that case. This base is infested with them."

Title: A Dead-ly Prison (which of course may be changed if the author has better ideas)
Main characters: Loki, Pietro, and any other character that died in/before IW and wasn't brought back (like Coulson & Fury). Also no characters that were killed by the Infinity Gauntlet-snap thing. And a gazillion SHIELD agents — enjoy yourself, author.
Timeline: After/during IW
General Idea: SHIELD can't afford to let anyone die. So instead, they have found a way to save anyone who's body is not entirely demolished. But because they can't reintroduce them into the normal world again straight away, these people are detained in a top secret base, which is basically the equivalent of a prison. Until Fury decides that "the time is right". Coulson, being one of Fury's favourites, was out pretty quickly. Pietro, however, has been in the base for years, and pretty much runs the place. The story takes place at the time when Loki "dies" and ends up in the base too — and Fury has no intention of ever letting him out, except in dire situations. So he'll just have to learn how to cope with Pietro as company.
