Chapter 2---That Pretty Nerd
*Sam's P.O.V.*
"This is it." Lexie said, pointing to a big, brown house on the corner.
I parked up in her driveway, and got out to open her door.
"Thank you." She smiled. "I had fun doing our science."
"You make it fun." I smiled back, walking her up to her steps.
"Because I'm a nerd!" Lexie smiled cheesily.
"I've taught you well." I chuckled, pinching her cheeks.
"I'll see you tomorrow at school." She waved.
"What if I don't wanna see you?" I joked.
"Then I guess you don't want to see me to go to the game on Friday." She replied.
"No no no where'd you get that idea?! Of course I want to go to the game with Sexy Lexie!" I smirked.
"Bye Sam." She giggled, just standing there, making the situation a bit awkward.
"See ya tomorrow." I smiled, leaning in to give her a small hug.
"Thanks for the food!" Lexie hollered as I walked off towards my jeep.
As I climbed back into the car, I couldn't get my mind off of that girl. I knew we were just friends, but after seeing her in science and seeing the tickets, it like triggered something inside of me. What friend would get their other friend tickets to a college basketball game?
The events from this evening kept replaying in my head as I drove home. My parent had bible study after work, so they didn't come home while we were there. It was currently 7:22, so it wasn't that late. We worked on our project until 6, and she started to get hungry. I insisted that we buy pizza, and she insisted that we get two larges.
When we got our pizza, we just sat around with Ozzie and talked. She was right about getting the two pizzas because she ended up having five pieces while I had eight. We left the leftovers on the counter for my family, and fed a couple pieces to Oz.
It was so hard to focus on our science when she was sitting right next to me, looking as beautiful as she did. Her glasses were black with squarish lenses, and they looked amazing on her.
Pulling up into my driveway, I started to regret our goodbye. I was sort of just stuck in the moment, and I didn't know if I should kiss her or not.
Snapping back to reality, I shut the car off and headed inside. I noticed my parents were home, so I walked into the living room to say hi.
"Hi honey." My mom cooed.
"Hey mom." I smiled.
"Where did this pizza come from?" She asked, taking a bite of the pizza that was only cheese because Lexie begged me not to order toppings.
"I had a friend over, so we ordered pizza around 6." I replied.
"That's why it smelled like perfume when I walked in. Is she pretty?" My dad piped up, causing me to smile as the smell of Lexie's perfume came running back to me.
"We had to work on a science research paper, and yeah, she's pretty cute." I blushed, leaving the room before more questions were thrown at me.
"Sammy has a crush!" My mom yelled as I made my way to my room.
When I got to my room, I flipped the light on and plopped down on my bed. I pulled out my phone and opened twitter. Nothing interesting was in my feed, so I decided to send out a tweet.
